Chard yesterday then spinach, pea shoots and mixed lettuce today, plus a lonely spring onion I found amongst the chard bed.

Some carrots from a polytunnel bed. There�s damage from carrot fly despite these being a resistant variety.
I have two pots of carrots also growing in polytunnel, sown terribly late but with good leaves. They look healthy although no decent roots yet. I�m hoping they don�t bolt after this cold weather but I suspect that�s exactly what they�re going to do

I’m also picking kale seed shoots.
I grow kale for two of the Young Muck Lovers who use it for smoothies but if they didn’t do that I would still grow it for the sprouting shoots alone.
