Last of my late sown carrots, couple of leeks, 1 allium leaf miner grub - he won't make the cut in the resultant soup.

Chard yesterday then spinach, pea shoots and mixed lettuce today, plus a lonely spring onion I found amongst the chard bed.

Some carrots from a polytunnel bed. There’s damage from carrot fly despite these being a resistant variety.
I have two pots of carrots also growing in polytunnel, sown terribly late but with good leaves. They look healthy although no decent roots yet. I’m hoping they don’t bolt after this cold weather but I suspect that’s exactly what they’re going to do

I’m also picking kale seed shoots.
I grow kale for two of the Young Muck Lovers who use it for smoothies but if they didn’t do that I would still grow it for the sprouting shoots alone.
