Another hellebore orientalist. Do wish they would hold their heads up. Makes photographing difficult!!!!

Thanks VC fortunately the previous two owners enjoyed gardening so now it�s ours we can enjoy their efforts, over time I hope I can add to it....

Today started of nice and bright and encouraged these crocus to open but by the time I got round to photographing them it was grey and raining so they had closed again.

Lonely Daffodil

Took this yesterday - you can see 3 clumps of daffodils in the picture but only 1 flower . what do I need to do to make them happy?



This hellibore today was looking up.

Let them grow this year and give them a feed. When the foliage has died down dig them up and split the clump into single bulbs and replant them spaced out a bit. They may not produce many flowers next year but the year after you will have a good show. When daffs get overcrowded in a clump they don’t Flower well.

I've got some clumps of daffodils in the grass verge in front of the house that haven't been touched for over 35 years and flower quite profusely. They are not coming up yet but I might post a picture when they do. I've been meaning to split them up for the last 25 years but not quite got round to it yet.
