there's a plant which was sold to me as 'fox and cubs' but it ...has a myriad of common names. The lady who sold it told me it can be really invasive.

... Pilosella aurantiaca & it's also known as 'the Devil's paintbrush'!

I've just been given 2 trays of this for our wildlife garden, and after researching it I don't want it. Oh, how to get rid without giving offence?

It could fall in the compost by mistake? They get you going and coming, these. They seed prolifically and they send out runner too so you can't shift them. Ask me how I know!
