Maybe if you grew flowers for her she may let you have one windowsill?

You can get that variety here: https://www.rosecottageplants.co.uk/dahlia-edinburgh/p9

Here's my set up on one windowsill - I have 6 with trays in

I will start mine in the house too Scarlet, but once they start growing bigger they will be competing for windowsill space with everything else (tomatoes, chillies, geraniums, fuchsias etc) so need to go to the greenhouse to grow on. Too cold here for weeks yet.

That said, Waltzing Matilda arrived yesterday already potted up, from my Secret Gardening Club order.
Mostly flowers, some fruit and veg, at the seaside in Edinburgh.

Just to say, six of my dahlia tubers which I potted up last month have started into growth.
They are still in the conservatory windows and get covered up at night in my blow away.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Is there still time to be able to buy Dahlia Tuber's? and where do people usually buy them from? and at what price would you be prepared to pay?

Actually I just potted up a load today for in the GH. I often plant up dahlias outside over the Easter holidays.
I like Peter Nyssen for dahlia bulbs - they are a good price. Between £2 - £2.50 per tuber

While pottering in the garden I discovered two of my dahlias are already up.
Hope we dont get a hard frost.

I have 12 tubers potted up in the small greenhouse, 3 of them new from Peter Nyssen the others were from 5 I lifted last year. Some of the bigger roots fell into pieces once the dried earth fell from inside the clumps. So if they had a stem with them, they got planted separately.
Hope they all grow, but we'll see
