I had a white one open today - no blackfly on mine that I've noticed BTW.

No I haven't Scarlet. Last year I grew them with Nasturtium to try and divert the blackfly and ended up with the Nasturtiums being a writhing black mass and the excess spilled over to the Dahlias anyway so I gave up on that plan. Hopefully the ladybirds will be hungry for you

I wanted Verones Obsidian SO BAD when I was buying but couldn't find any in stock.

(Do you ever read back what you're posting and think, "that's it, I'm through the looking glass now.... I've gone Full Plant Nerd.")

Dahlias are like a nice pack of fattening biscuits, you know you shouldn't have another, but they are so nice

I cannot remember where I bought the seeds I think it was from my local garden centre.

                          • I grew Bishops Children from seed a couple of years back and saved some of the better ones.
Yellow one is Ok but I do like the Orange.

                              • I have always liked dahlias. They should be flowering now till the first frosts.
This one is Pooh with a few insects enjoying it.
