well they are most definitely not good for them - I nursed a dog for a couple of weeks with a mystery illness. We only diagnosed the problem when the owner came to visit and proceeded to feed the dog a whole bag of grapes!!! Needless to say, fluid was given, grapes were banned and the dog made a brilliant recovery!!

oh she only has the odd one, ...... i like em too much lol ...... well she's 11 now, and touch wood never had a days illness in her life, so maybe the odd one is ok??

oh god yeah, it's like anything....a little bit of something doesn't do you any harm. I give my animals all sorts of things they shouldn't get, but in moderation!!!

My Sister lost one of her dogs with Kidney failure. No idea what caused it until she came home and found a whole bag of raisins/sultanas had been eaten - the bag was on the floor under a chair! That's when the vet told her about grapes and raisins etc. The dog was always a terrible thief and would eat the entire contents of fridge and freezer if she could open it.

Grapes and sultanas are poisonous to dogs same as choccie, maybe the tannin I'm not sure, I'm paranoid with my doggies getting access to any of those things.

Last night girlies had leftover rice, coconut korma with pumpkin (chicken removed leftover roast) and leftover poppadums, they loved it

Interestingly this morning the lads and lasses didn't bother eating the oats I usually sprinkle on the ground, but legged it into the field and started grazing.

One of the websites about chicken treats says cooked chicken and cooked eggs are very good for chickens. Mine certainly loved their share of the turkey at Christmas.

Although I happily give the chooks scraps of meat, my conscience won't allow me to condone cannibalism, I just can't do it so roast chook is a no go. They had raw pork steak trimmings last night

mine picked the xmas turkey bones clean like little vultures ..... they also love soggy cat biccies, i always stick some in their mash, and they run round trying to kill each other over every one they find ....... i do tend to eat more chicken than other meat, so they get chicken bones to pick too ..... they aren't keen on eggs yet though.
