Hmmmm...one down...

Pity it was a 4 week old chick. It decided to tuck it's head under it's wing for the past 24 hrs- and then I spotted it on it's side, clearly dead.
Left him/her on the floor near the back door for OH to give it a little stroke to say 'goodbye' only to notice soon afterwards that it'd gone!!!

Went indoors with slight trepidation to notice bird feathers all over the lounge and kitty licking her chops and grooming herself!

2428 - 1 = lost on of my new girls, got to her this morning and the poor thing could hardly stand, looked like she had had a stroke. head on one side, couldnt open her beak very well and wasnt able to eat or drink...poor little mite (just hoping it wasnt an infection)

Minus 1. Took Pansy my Black star to the vet today. Rear end swollen with ascites. I knew I would be coming home without her but saw the vet to be really sure.

1 Hubbards chick and 3 Orpington chicks, another 7 eggs to go so fingers crossed

Out of the remaining 7 eggs hatched 1 more Orpington and 3 buff laced Wyandotte Banties

This brings the total too.........
