          Did you see Country file last week ? they had a short bit on hydroponics & fish poo,this may interest you ...........

            No probs I will keep the pictures coming as long as the plant keeps growing like it has been, will be trying some chillies in these too!

                    Ive had a go at this and it works well, for lettuce and things like that a floating raft system works better and is easier and lower cost to make a big one of them
                    Just a big plastic tub, full of water and nutrients, and a tray of polystyrene with holes in it , big air pump from aquarium ( one that blows millions of bubbles) poke small seedlings through into the bubbling water , for light either in the greenhouse, in the garden (birds like to have a bath in it though!) in the house just use a cfl light bulb, very cheap to run, you can run a tray a few foot square full of things like lettuce and grow them much quicker just using a tiny fish tank air pump and an air stone
                    Living off grid and growing my own food in Bulgaria.....

                      Very nice, and interesting too. You seem to have 2 or maybe 3 leaders. Did you leave the sideshoots on purpose? What type of tomato plant is that?
