Well done Piskie and enjoy every minute of it.You could'nt have got it at a better time, right at the start of the year.
By the way, hope the donkey is well hemmed in or you will be building a wall to protect your crops

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Pictures of the donkey please, they are so cute!

          Oh - good luck!

              Is this the site?

              benson - Google Maps

I know there is a garden centre just off the A4074 so the above map might be pointing at that. I might pop my head in next time I cycle past!
              Oh congratulations by the way

Congrats Piskie, take it gently and post lots of piccies for us to enjoy your progress. If you want to feed carrots to the donkey, remember to either leave them whole or cut them in lengths rather than rings to avoid a choking hazard. Apples should be fed in wedges or again whole for the same reason. Never, ever, feed cut grass to horses or donkeys folks.
                Happy Gardening,
                Shirley

She means it Piskie! Got some California Wonder peppers from Haze that I'd lusted after. They came this morning.

Great News, jealous as hell! I think someone has to die for me to get an allotment!

Hazel, how about you send me a small selection of surprise seeds? That would be really really good fun to open and I'll (promise!) to take pictures of them agrowing

Flummery, you want to give me some names and I'll arrange a 'job' on them?

Way to go Piskie. Hope you have a better first year than I did, mindju, that wasn't all down to the weather. I haven't posted my pics yet, but at the mo my lottie looks more like the "before" pics rather than the "after", and so does my garden

This is another year, so I'll start again.
