Afternoon all. Well kids are now at their dads ready for their holiday tomorrow. So got a bit of time spare before I start some jobs again.
Went to allotment and picked two tubs of sloes again for my moms friend.

Good afternoon, its a cold, wet blustery day today, and as I put this down we are getting heavy rain again, have been a bit busy this past week, had a blocked drain so that ment having to move washing machines out and lift floorboards etc. there was a time when all I had to do was move a carpet lift a hatch and slip underneath the floor, but sadly not now, I could still get down but doubt if I could get back out (OH reckons she would manage to replace the hatch, but got a bit worried when she asked me where the screws were, she knows the hatch just lifts out) also papering and painting our bedroom, so that's everything finished now so hopefully back to normal, though OH did mention replacing a bit of carpet on the stair treads though as she has waited two and a half years for me to do that, it won't harm her to wait a wee bit longer
Need to go and feed the boy's, as they haven't stopped snacking since they came home from school. Keep well and pass on your smile

Good evening all.
Spent the afternoon making jam.
17 pots of gooseberry jam and it turned out really well.
There's a bit more room in the freezer now but plenty of blackberries still to be picked and frozen.
May have to do more preserving and jam making.
Looks like a bumper year for making bramble jelly.

VC I think you missed out a B as in "braces" which I assume is to hold up or hold in, though now I am puzzling out what. No I now know what it is, a brace of birds i.e. a couple of old birds

Yesterday I Managed to hoik out a huuuge pile of weeds growing in our gravel drive....enough to fill 2wheelbarrows!
Still enough for another couple but the worst have gone.
Got more pressing things to do -i.e. More preserving and crafting!
The remaining weeds aren't going anywhere(apart from increasing in size!)
Looks much better now

Off to chop onions -so see you all later

Sunny this morning but it sure felt cool first thing. Quick dash to the shops for some odds and ends and then, hopefully, a plot visit.
