Morning, I've been dozing on and off since 4 am. Gave up and got up in the end
Going to try to hang some washing out today, apparently we are not having rain here today .......
Might even bake a nice fruit cake this morning

Morning another wet and windy day here so I ought to make a start on my Christmas cards.

A local said to me the other day that it's a well known fact peeps don't sleep well when there is a full moon....and a day or so to either side.
Anyone else heard that before? I certainly hadn't!

They're probably keeping awake to watch out for Werewolves

stupid thing is I said to better half to watch herself and then I fell. Must be my age

There used to be a time when I 'bounced' when I fell...these days I too land like a sack of spuds!

Anyway, I'll start again, morning all . Bit overcast up here. We were forecast to get a couple of hours of snow straddling rush hour times but that hasn't come.(yet) We have a light covering, a scuffing I would say but very slippery underfoot. Supposed to end the day at 8c which is crazy innit.

drew blood on my hand and that is nipping a bit, sore left ankle somehow and left wrist a bit achey but I'm ok. Shaken not stirred . Yups was never an issue when we were younger somehow, maybe we get to be not so elastic as we get to be not so young?

and right elbow now complaining. Salt now applied to icy front of house.

Talking about bouncing.....

A few years ago I missed my footing on the top stair at home- bit like a skid on a banana moment!
I bounced down every single step on me bum.
Came to stand up and I knew something had happened to my coccyx ( tail bone)

Got OH to take me to the GP and I couldn't even let him near it.
X Ray showed it was dislocated to one side...and nope, not bad enough apparently to have it manipulated back...oh yeh?

5 years later I was just about able to drive over sleeping policemen without bracing myself. Still couldn't ride a bike or our horse.

Talk about piercing, stabbing pains!

About that time we were rushing out for a Sunday Lunch at the in laws...and yup...did exactly the same thing again
Bounce/ thud/ bounce/ thud all the way to the bottom 13 steps...yup I counted every one!

Another X-ray and this time a fracture dislocation!
(Don't do things by half ya know!)

BUT!
The fracture had pushed everything sideways and once it'd healed I could ride a bike again, sit properly on a chair, do the sitting yoga stuff etc!

A blessing in disguise really!

But that's when I suddenly realised I'd gone from bouncing to thudding downwards!

Crikey, Nicos, that's not an accident, it's an episode of casualty . Funny how sometimes it takes an accident to sort another problem .

Ty for speedy recovery wishes but nowt bar bumps and bruises.

Two hen blackbirds snacking happily on halved apples out on the lawn and then one of them gets territorial . Silly billies, there's plenty to go round and now neither of them are feeding.

I think it's more reaction time which has slowed down for me so far...I'm still pretty flexible ....you'd be more than surprised where I can put my legs!!!
