Woke to a clear blue sky, almost windless. With great joy I found I had just enough time to get my washing out again before my lift into town arrived.
One emergency filling (beg pardon, Intermediate Restatory Materiel application) later, teatime came and with just a few miles to go before arriving home, we started driving through snow showers. "Well," I reasoned, "the fields are still not white, it might be localised."
Turned into the village...everything was covered in white. Even the bits glazed with black ice...
We went to the pub.
I haven't bothered to go look at the whirly. I think I will leave it as an objet d'art until spring...

Eeh it were so black, even the white bits were black.
Its the way I tell them!! Well, it was funny at the time.

We went to the pub last night for an 'early drink' and there was the faintest of dustings of snow on some of the cars - Keele at 6.45 pm.

Very mild down here this morning, last night at 12.00 it was very very frosty, big clear skies with a massive moon, very poor for fishing, very good apparently for a tidal surge, very soggy cold drive home lol

First few flakes of snow here today, it settled a bit on the grass. We had rain, hail, thunder and sleet as well though - but no sun
They say we'll get more snow on Thursday night.

I let the dog out on the back at 5:30 this morning and it was snowing quite heavily but it's too wet for it to settle.. Going to get some tomorrow so the man on the telly was sayin'....
