  • Do you have a cooked meal every day?

Just wondering if you have a hot meal every day? We've had sandwiches and a salad today and as we've got a bit older with no children to feed, I find that a cooked meal is becoming an every other day thing.

Oh yes twice a day usually! Usually have cereal, beans on toast or soup for brekkie, then soup or sandwiches, salad for lunch and always a cooked meal for dinner. 3 cooked meals a day in winter especially

More or less every day depending on what shift I'm working and whether it's summer, and I have salad stuff at hand, but there's something cooked to go with it, either fritada or something similar
      in the winter, usually.

I feel a bit odd without some hot food every day. Like when I am away for the evening, I feel that if I don't get hot food that it's not right!

        Bonkers I know.

Yes, light breakfast for me, sandwich or toastie at lunchtime, healthy snacks and fruit throughout the day and hot meal and pudding every night.

I can't remember not having a hot meal every day even when we're camping, if we have salad we have either pasta, jacket potato, couscous with it.
Some days if I'm not that hunger then I'll have soup and a pudding and no main course.

We usually have a hot meal every day but now we're not working, we follow the more French style os small breakfast, cooked lunch and then a small tea/supper, unless we're socialising then we may eat in the evening.

Main change is that now I have time to think about the cooking, we eat much better than when we were living in the UK, much more fresh fruit and veg (and there we ate really healthily anyway) and I've cut out lots of things which means I've lost 7 kilos since the 4 January with no ill effects at all.

Many more bio/eco stuff too, brown rice and pasta for me instead of white, small changes making a big difference.

Cereal for breakfast, sandwich or boiled egg for lunch then a cooked meal in the evening, with 1 roast dinner each week, not usually on a sunday either.

We do have a cooked meal at least once a day, though it may be something relatively light, like beans on toast...

Yup - usually twice a day. Roast at least twice a week, too - even if we're away in the Caravan!

Neither really eat breakfast, so it's Brunch and a meal in the evening. Same at weekends.

I need a hot dinner every night, it's comforting in the winter. I'm perfectly happy with dry cereal for brek & lunch though

We always have a hot tea and at weekends lunch and breakfast are often cooked too. We have four kids though and for us, the evening meal is as much about all sitting down togther and discussing our day as it is about what we're actually eating.

Yes, best part of the day, we all sit down together and share our days. Love it and look forward to it every day at school.

We have cereal for breakfast and sandwiches and fruit for lunch and then a cooked meal in the evening. Some nights its chicken breast roasted with salad or fish and salad, other times it something I've made ahead from the freezer. At the weekends I cook proper meals as I have the time and we tend to eat home made soup for weekend lunches. No ready meals here, only vice is the occassional chinese takeaway.

Since i was forced to stop working a few years ago i took over all the cooking.. She who must be obeyed, peels the veg as i cant hold it in my bad hand, and does all the washing up, but i do the rest. Every day we have a full cooked meal bang on noon then afters with a cuppa mid afternoon.
I always do a sunday roast and love it when our friend come to stay, or the family come for a good meal. I love cooking even if there is just me and the boss.

Tomorrow its roast chicken with yorkshires, roast spuds, mashed tatties with carrots, and the last stalk of my own sprouts
