Learn to love the pain.
I've been waxing/sugaring/epilating for oh, 20+ years now. It doesn't get easier, the hair doesn't get thinner.
Just take 2 ibuprofen with a g and t, and off you go.

my ex bought me one for xmas once .... cos it said .... less painful on the box .... he made me try it, i managed about 1/4 inch of one leg, then threw it at his head ..... oh yeah, probably marginally less painful than having knitting needles poked into your eyes ..... the year after he bought me a microwave .... i shan't say what i did with that lol ..... i just shave if anyone's likely to see them ..... so every couple of months then lol

It does get a bit easier...I use one regularly....it looks so much better afterwards than its of loo paper stuck to the bleeding bits
...and you dont get the morning after stubble either!
Professional waxing? never had it done- seems a waste of � if I can do it myself!

I think my technique wasn't quite right, I was using my old disposable shavor method - if you see what I mean.

I am amazed at the results and honestly thought there would be blood everywhere and very red legs - but nope, all clean and clear and soft as as soft thing this morning.

I haven't yet braved my underarms and as for, erm, brazil nuts - no way nooooo way no way

My sister has an epilator and part of it you put in the freezer before use. The theory being that the hair gets yanked out, then the cold bit goes over that area to soothe it.

Really hate shaving, doesn't matter what creams/lotions I use it dries my skin out and makes me itch.

Me too, although Mr TS has got a shave balm that really soothes the razor rash

I use a cream, occasionally (beach holiday, so about once every ten years!) the rest of the time it's a razor. I do it in the bath, and have only gouged out a lump once.

I use mine regularly Pisk and it does get easier. Give your skin a good exfoliating scrub before you use it and keep trying if you can bear it. It really does get better and eventually the hairs just give up trying. Mind you, I've been using mine for over 20 years now.
