The last time I went to the cinema was to watch the last Bond film. Like you say, the cost is quite prohibitive, these days and I certainly don't buy snacks in there! However, seeing Daniel Craig numerous feet tall is not a bad thing, so I make allowances. Otherwise, it's DVDs with a cup of tea!!

As much as I like watching films, I tend to do it in 2 or 3 parts. Ie. I'll start watching it then fall asleep..............when its on TV again, watch the middle, then fall asleep................when its on for the third time on TV, I'll eventually watch the end!

That's what I do - I go with a friend on an Orange Wednesday if there is something we both fancy seeing. Not that there often is!

I have a severe dislike of noisy eaters. The trouble is, they all seem to know and congregate at the cinema I choose to watch a fillum.

I also always sit at the back (having consideration for people sitting behind me) so can see all the people on their mobile phones and people chatting away to each other.

I feel myself start to get annoyed and cannot nejoy the film I've paid a handsom fee to watch.

            DVD for me.

That said, can't remember the last time we did either.

Very rarely go to the cinema as OH isn't a fan, but we have all the Sky Movie channels, so I just wait for things to come on there... doesn't bother me that I'm watching things waaay after everyone else.

DVD for us. Although I have to say I'm struggling to buy any good DVDs. A week ago on Saturday I bought Burn After Reading, says it's side splittingly funny - what a load of bull. Not funny, didn't even smile and gave up after 30 mins.

When we were courting going to the pictures was a regular once a week affair. Nothing quite like the furtive cuddles you can enjoy there. The worse thing is coming out into the cold night air.
We have got a cheapy DVD Player from Morrisons but apart from not knowing how to drive it yet we havn't got any DVDs to play on it. I wouldn't know where to start the list is endless.

Just sometimes , some films are better on a huge screen and surround sound.
It is a treat going to the piccies- but as you say- it's just so expensive!! By the time you've bought choccies to munch on too, it adds up!
I'm most certainly a DVD person

You get more section from DVD's - you dont have to watch new releases and you can watch things more than once if you want to. I.E. The OH and me have been collecting and watching Hitchcock films for ages now.

We have a large flat screen T.V with cinema surround & Blueray, but I still love that cinema experience, we have one of the biggest cinema screens in England where we live and you can't bet seeing a 50' Darth Vader, Optimus prime. The new Sherlock Holmes film was fantastic on big screen.

In the last 10 years I think I have been to the cinema twice, in fact it must be 15 years now I think about it.
Took a girlfriend to watch Days of Thunder cos it had Tom Cruise in it, I stayed for about 15 minutes and then told her I would meet her in the pub next door after it finished. Then took my youngest daughter to see a Harry Potter thing.

Not really into films at all, dont do fiction and dont have the attention span to sit and watch something for hours.

Me too! Is it the IMAX you're near, you lucky people? (Why isn't there a 'green with jealousy' emoticon?!

We 'do' both film & DVD. We've had Unilimited/Megapasses since they first came out, as we easily average 3 films a month. It also means we watch things we wouldn't 'pay for' IYSWIM.

If there's anything we enjoyed, we buy the DVD and re-watch it.

I much prefer DVD's as well!

It's an hours drive to the nearest cinema, and the prices are extortionate. I'm a fall-asleeper as well, so it's much easier if I can switch it off and watch when I feel like it.

There are some things we've been to the pictures to see, but it's few and far between!

I like the 3D stuff - certainly much better than I remember from being a kid. We saw Bolt, Monsters Vs Aliens and Christmas Carol in 3D, although the latter made me feel sick!
However the price tag is even more than the usual cinema charges - so it costs about £30 for the three of us to go!!
