Whats the strangest present you've ever been bought?

Special offer at work: 24 toilet rolls, so he bought 2 packs... great but Ive already got 24 in reserve. I can't move for loo rolls!

The birthday present of a new processor for the pc was lacking on the romance side. The nodding china horse was just tacky. The Strictly workout DVD for Christmas nearly ended up round his head. Apart from that he's great at buying presents

One Christmas I received a stainless steel gravy boat from MIL. Barely big enough to hold gravy for one person. I sat and looked enviously at everybody else's pressies .

My OH always asks for a shortlist, and buys me something that is ALMOST (but often not quite) on the list.....

I can hint for weeks on end but still wind up with something else!
Cann't complain though. I got a large sack of compost and some lovely pots for my birthday last year (nothing worse than getting pots and having no compost to fill them with) and at christmas I got the usual jewelry and some obvious undies but I also got some great gardening books.

Mr. G's favourite habit is to buy me a book for Christmas, then buy me the same book again for my Birthday! He's done it twice, and once with the same CD twice - at least he's consitent LOL!

Madmax would have a hell of a hard job to beat the Valentine's prezzie he got me in 2003 but got short shrift for buying me a voucher for the beauty salon for crimbo a couple of years ago (I sulked for ages till he said he thought I would love a decent massage which I hadn't considered)

My late OH bought me a Dremel with attachments - which he then used extensively! This was before the Vine was invented, btw!

My step son bought me a copy of a map of Nottingham(the bit where "The Victoria Centre" is)dated 1881 for Christmas this year.
Now the good point it was what I wanted because it showed what was taken out to build the Victoria Railway Station(opened 1900)
I have a new(ish) hobby I am studding Victorian Nottingham.

My Ex once presented me with a 10lb net of walnuts (in their shells!) for my birthday. I had mentioned that I liked them. Strangely I do not have a long fluffy tail or live in a hole in a tree - even if I do hybernate in the winter!
