Tidy is fine if you live alone but once there are others involved forget it! Years ago a close friend and I were contemplating sharing a flat together. In the end we mutually decided against it. A long time later she told me her reason why - because I was too tidy. She should see my house now!

When I get home tonight, I must put a photo of our cutlery draw on here. I have a step daughter with learning difficulties but by heck everything has got to be in its place.

As promised, is this not just the scariest cutlery draw you've seen. The spoons & forks have to be cuddled together like in bed.........

Poor RT must have been SOOO uncomfortable when he came to ours. Realised afterwards he was opposite a wonky picture frame and surrounded by piles of stuff
We do keep the cutlery in the drawer.....as for the rest, well there's always good intentions we just never seems to quite get there.

The company and the food was brilliant! A most enjoyable evening!

Oh, I feel so much better now. I thought it was just me who was THAT untidy. I know where everything is though (well mostly)
One of my younger sisters has sometimes said that if we two are ever left on our own we could move in together. Well, I've been mulling over some of these replies and she represents all those who wash constantly, iron everything, and nothing must be out of place before she goes to bed.
Me, I represent all of the others so I think perhaps it's a non starter even if we do get on well.

Ah, brilliant thread I'm a pretty laid back kind of girl in most ways but I'll never forget the look on my chap's face when he saw my reaction to his foolish attempt to put the clothes pegs on the line in the wrong colour order

I hated how you'd get 3 red, then a blue, then 2 whites, a yellow next to a green...

Just caught up with this thread chucklin like mad. My house is a complete mess I try but fail everytime to keep it tidy. My airing cupboard now thats a different story cant bear to see it untidy, everything has to be folded the right way. I use it to store towels etc not to air clothes. It is in the breakfast room. 3 doors high and three doors wide.
