And So It Begins...The Big Thaw!!!

We've had snow forecast for later on in the week, but at the moment, everything seems to be thawing out, all the icicles are melting and the snow is turning to mush, I can't go outside my back door without some cold water dripping down the back of my neck, Brrrrrr
So whats it like with you, are you thawing out as well????

Got water down my neck this afternoon coming in. The icicles by the back door look lethal! Think it will be pretty scarey tonight if this freezes.

Thawing but this afternoon was the first time I had trouble getting the car on and off the drive! The packed snow was much easier to drive on.

Hopefully it will stay mild enough tonight to not freeze solid for the morning.

I've not had to replace the bird table water at all this afternoon, so it looks like the thaw is on its way.

Most of our snow has gone. Slush in the gutters and in bits on the pavements where the sun hasn't reached.

The great defrost is well under-way here. Now we'll all be busy running around looking for Plumbers to sort out all the burst pipes!

I can see grass at last The hills are no longer completely white so the snow is also melting higher up and the rivers are just beginning to thaw.
