A few days in Italy in Winter

Poped over to the vineyard for a few days mainly to prune the vines and check up on everything. It was very cold but bright although they must have had recent rain as the waterfall was rushing along. In the distance you could see the snow on the top of the mountains. The vines were in bud (very early) but we managed to give them all a slight prune. In fact it felt in general as if spring was just around the corner. As we left 2 deer were grazing in the wildflower meadow and the birds were singing as the sun came up.

I grew a succession of the normal things, but one of the problems was that as we camped there for 4 months and did not have a freezer or a good kitchen I couldn't save the food and so we had to eat it immediately.
We had lots of everything as the weather was very hot. My best producer was the lemon crystal cucumbers, we got over a 100 cucumbers from ...
