May I take this opportunity on my last visit to the Vine in 2008 to wish all grapes, old and new, all the very best for the new year.
The kilt is on and I shall shortly be leaving for our town's street party, returning home in wee sma' hours before getting up for a big fry and then we're having an open house from 12 noon onwards.
You cannot currently move in our large kitchen for crisps, niuts, cakes, buns and of course alcohol - OH went shopping today - we have 20 bottles red plonk, 10 bottles white plonk, 4 assorted malt whiskies, 6 blend whiskies, three crates bottled beer, gin, dark rum, vodka, assorted crates of mixers and juice (for the kids) and I have three litres of Spiced Rum for myself.
If you're passing, pop in and say hello.

Here it is - well, it's been here ages of course - late rising today!
Any chance one of the mods could joggle the elbows of Admin (assuming anyone's at home) to update the calendar. We had December for about a week last January!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
