    • Good evening.

Good to see you back, lottie.

I haven't had a very good day today. I am no longer in domestic goddess mode, but I did attack the big TV in the lounge with the window vac yesterday evening before it wore off. It survived the experience.

        • Morning all.

Welcome home, LD. Sounds like your next planned trip is going to be very special.

And sounds like you're having a fantastic time, Nicos. Lovely!

As for here, it's a public holiday today, but we'll be working hard with Mr Snoop's helpers. Chilly start to the day, but the forecast rain has dwindled. Light drizzle this afternoon. Was hoping for a good dousing.

Right, better get filling my compost bin this morning with the cardboard and peelings I've been accumulating this week.

          Have a great day, everyone.

              • Good morning all, a few clouds but its dry and 16 degs.

Lotty, it's good to see you back and it sounds like you had a great holiday.

Nicos, hope you are managing to enjoy your holiday despite the crutches.

Gardening for me today... when we were out yesterday we came across a garden centre.
They were selling off their sweet peas which had become pot bound.
In spite of having my own I bought some, so going to plant them out today.

Snoop, enjoy your public holiday, it's our May bank holiday weekend here.
                Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                • Good afternoon, first post on here for a while, OH is still improving but thinks she has sciatica again, hopefully not but will see how things go, as for myself my back seized up last week, when OH saw me holding onto the wall I think she thought I was having a stroke, as I couldnt move or speak, the pain was so excruciating, but still not sure what she was going to ask me when she said "where is"now was she going to ask where the pain was or where the insurance policy was?🤔 however there's even more upsetting news, because I experienced that I decided to buy a back support belt, I had it on for a couple of days and now the pain is gone so dont need the support belt, owny buddy want tae buy a support belt. Of course you will all know I am just joking, I bought the belt from Amazon so can send it back
Have a good weekend and if its a holiday weekend for you think of us poor folk who dont get holidays or days off, keep smiling and remember to your smiles on
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                  • Good afternoon.

Another nice sunny day, although it is clouding up now, and there may be rain on the offing. I had been looking to see if there were any local car boot sales over the Bank Holiday weekend. I used to go regularly at one time and I love to roam around them. Unfortunately I've just seen the weather forecast for Sunday and it is not promising.

I started a job today that I have been muttering about and putting off for ages. I already have two black bin bags full for the charity shop, and that is just from the hanging section! I really can't see me wearing any short skirts shirts or small sized evening dresses or anything remotely revealing.

                      • Morning all.

there seem to be a lot of bad backs on here ATM. Is this a symptom of sudden good weather sending everyone out to do strenuous things in the garden? A few gentle pre-gardening warm-up exercises saves a lot of aches and pains later.

Kettles's on for a brew, then a few domestics before getting on with the bedroom painting. I'm on the final stretch, the walls and ceiling are done, so it's just the woodwork to do. I need to source new handles for the furniture as well, to upgrade the style.

Lottie, you make Leicester sound very attractive and well worth a visit, when I have always considered my place of birth a dull, dirty city with nothing of interest. I guess it's true the grass always seems greener somewhere else.

                            • Morning all.

Hope all the bad backs are improving. I've got twinges and yes, MH, caused by strenuous labour, heaving up hosepipe lost over the years in a couple of feet of grass, weeds and mud washed down... Anyway, done now and everything ready for a man to come and strim and mulch my overgrown fields and veg patch with a machine I'm looking forward to seeing - essentially a lawnmower but with caterpillar tracks operated by a huge remote control.

Our rain didn't happen either, Bren. Drizzle now forecast for the next few days. But apparently, after all the rain earlier this year, our well has loads of water in it. So looks like I shouldn't have too much difficulty watering this year. I haven't looked in myself. I have to be honest and say our well scares me a bit.

Off today to a local village which is holding a veg patch and garden fair. At this time of year, one village or another has something going on. Before that, painting a wall.

                              Have a great day, everyone.

                                Have a good day all.
