[Snoop Puss]

Morning all.

Very dull and grey, but I'm not sure it will actually rain, as promised. Looks like the ploughing will end up gouging up great lumps of clay rather than smaller ones. Not so good, but needs must. I'm struggling to keep the trees watered. The nectarine has gone into quarantine as it's heaving with green fly and small green caterpillars.

But otherwise all good. Time for another coffee if anyone wants to join me.

Sunny with a very nippy breeze. Lots of ‘snow’ falling from the cherry tree.

Am I too late for a brew?…if so, I’ll make a fresh load for us sleepyheads

I was only awake for half the night, so managed the Wordle and number Waffle…and some reading.
Today is washing day…bedding, towels, light clothes and darks…so 5 washerloads to get through
Once dried, finishing off the clothes packing.

One job I’ll leave until tomorrow is planting up my mint.
I bought two plants from the supermarket last week, cut them back to 3” , then popped the ends in water ( and dried the spare bottom leaves)
And they are rooting already! Fantastic news.

Time to get a wiggle on…have a great dsy everyone and remember to share those lovely smiles!
Speaking of which…Snoop…what on earth is up with the smiles this morning…I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen them so hyperactive and cheeky as they flew over… watch out Rary…I thought I best warn you that they might be still be a handful by the time they get to you!

Well, I've been grinning a fair bit this morning, Nicos, so perhaps they've caught it off me. Lovely walk with Jack before it began to rain. Mr Snoop's helpers have made a huge difference today. Still not quite finished, but they've done one job which neither of us was looking forward to but which they did so efficiently that it made next to no dust at all and we were expecting clouds of it everywhere.

Only downside today is Jack has walked tile cement all over the sofa... We've managed to get most of it off, but it's just as well we're not houseproud. And that our neighbours are just like us so we don't have to worry about what they'll say.

Good morning.

It's a chilly 2°C at the moment, but I'm warm and cosy. I'm seriously thinking about grabbing a fleece hoodie and getting out of bed to make coffee shortly. I have been contemplating this for well over an hour now.

I think I've had about 5 hours sleep, which is not too bad at all, for me.

Hospital visiting was not good yesterday. My brother in law was not himself at all.I intend phoning this morning to see if he is still the same. He is still on IV antibiotics. I find elderly hospital wards, even when clean and well run, so depressing.

We've had frost again and I think another due tonight. Nice for walking today though. She is already in snore mode.
Right, what's for breakfast today? I think fruit yoghurt and some granola /alpen thrown on top.

Morning all.

Sorry to hear about your BiL, GF. Fingers crossed the antibiotics start to have a decent effect soon.

Cold and cloudy here, and very blowy too. It didn't rain that much yesterday in total and this wind will dry it up in next to no time.

As for breakfast, I was so tired last night I couldn't even contemplate preparing our overnight oats. Goodness knows why. Doesn't even take a minute. So breakfast this morning might have to be guacamole and ryvita style crackers. We haven't even got any bread in the house. An unnatural disaster in Mr Snoop's eyes.

I was awake early …then fell back asleep!
OH went out and cleaned out the hens and said the thermometer said 0°C, but strangely no frost.

I forgot to do our overnight oats last night too Snoop- we have granola needing eating up, so mostly fresh fruit with yog and local honey and a sprinkle of granola.
I’m sort of going off the idea of granola now…looking at the ingredients there’s a few too many hidden ‘extras’ in there. I should look into making my own!
I’ve not had Alpen for years!…it was my staple when I was in Halls of Residence..2 sachets and toast and jam for breakfast every day. Yum.

GF…sorry to hear your BIL isn’t so good…Tis good he’s got you watching his back x

We are mostly packed.I just need to pot on some flowers and pot up my mint cuttings which have rooted incredibly over the past 6 days, then water all the pots and move them into the shade .
Then it’s clearing up inside the house…has anyone got a house fairy I could borrow please?

Did I mention that nothing showed up on the wildlife camera?…didn’t think it woukd cis I’ve not heard a thing since OH put it up.
I did wonder if it could be those red squirrels but it sounded much heavier than that. Do they ever nest in houses?
Not sure if we have enough batteries to set it up again today…I’ll have a rummage.

Good Morning All Sunny here. I've been out earlier to move the garden lights in readiness for the lawn mowing this afternoon. I don't think it's ready yet, but Himself says there are too many dandelions.
