Morning, well after the most amazing sunny day yesterday the rain is battering (sp?) off the window.
Happy St. David’s Day, first day of spring and a great month for everyone with a birthday…all the best people are born in March! 😉
Arrived home yesterday after only 4 days away and our daffodils are flowering here too.
Did anyone see the planets aligned last night? There were 7 but you can only see 4 with the naked eye. I managed to see 3 but my brother saw the 4.
Anyhoo on that happy note, enjoy the rest of your Sunday! x

I remembered too late Jay….so had a careful look when I went to bed and could only see Jupiter…there were clouds low on the horizon, so maybe if I’d looked earlier there would have been nothing to see.
I wonder if they might be visible tonight ?

I’m not sure Nicos, it only says 28th February as far as I can see.

Morning all.

Bright blue and a really frosty start to the day. Lovely morning for a walk out with Mr Snoop and Jack. But the clouds are just starting to gather. That'll be it for proper sunshine for a bit. 110 litres per square metre forecast between now and Saturday. And there was Mr Snoop and me hoping for a day out later in the week. To a really big shop. Ikea. I haven't been to an Ikea in person for maybe 25 years. I presume they've got even bigger and more unmanageable than they were then.

Bit of an interruption there, not that you'll know, while M dropped off a dumper-truck load of firewood. Coming back with another in a few minutes. Only pine, but very well sized for both the little range and bigger pieces for the bedroom. And then we're invited up to his place for bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon for breakfast! And it's only just half past nine here on a Monday morning. What a start to the week!

For the rest of the day, some paid work and a bit of kindling to prepare while the wood is still really dry. No immediate deadlines looming and a nice balanced day. I could get used to this life!

Good morning all, it's dr6 but no sunshine just yet.
Lots of bits and bobs to do today as we are heading off tomorrow.

Snoop, salmon snd cream cheese bagels, one of my favourite foods, enjoy.

Myself and mydsughter ususlly have a dsy out visiting Ikea, its been about 28 months, so due another visit soon.

Looks like we have sunshine for the day too…so a mixture of gardening and kitchen cupboard sorting today.
Yesterday I was a really good girl and sorted out all the gite accounts for last year . Phew…it’s something I usually do in the Autumn after the end of the season but just couldn’t get my head around doing it.

Wow snoop- what a fantastic start to the week !…pity about the rain due though.

Afternoon all.

What a lovely warm and sunny day it has turned into! Had my gutters cleaned out today, and the chap rang to ask if he could come earlier, then my expected delivery arrived as well, so I had the afternoon free. Couldn't resist having a drive out to a garden centre, as I have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket,earmarked for new secateurs.

As I was browsing around the outdoor area, a full rack of reduced herbaceous perennials in 3" pots was wheeled out, all reduced from £4 to £1.50. It was like putting catnip in front of the cat, there was nobody else near, and I had a lovely root through, coming home with two pink flowered salvias and two coreopsis. Unfortunately (or fortunately ) I had no trolley or basket, so only got the four pots as that was all I could carry. There was lots of other stuff I could have got....

Afternoon, sun has just gone after a beautiful day.
Didn’t do much this afternoon. Listening to Nicos and having a look in my wardrobe I really have to do a huge clear out!! Maybe tomorrow 😀

Well, I managed to do some sorting and then some weeding of the gravel by the back door. Had a bit of a rest, then chopped back some dead stuff near the patio.
And then lit the firepit!…and sat on the patio watching then sun go down supping on Guinness

Absolute bliss.

Looks like we are in for a few more days of 18C and sunshine so it’ll be good to try and get on top of some of the gardening jobs.

I have a feeling I’ll crash out tonight!
