Thanks folks…she was part of the Vine wasn’t she?
She often used to sit or play/ hunt nearby when I was gardening and I’d chat about ideas I had about what people had posted on here, or ideas I had to share with you all. She knew you all by name for sure

Sad news this morning Nicos.
You gave her a wonderful life and relieved her off her pain when it washer time to go.
She has left you with wonderful memories, take comfort in those.
I Will raise a mug of tea to her.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Good morning all, It's the same weather as yesterday..
Still pouring rain and dull and grey, no end in sight,
Visiting my friend Joan in the nursing home this afternoon.
Nothing else on the cards.
Enjoy the day as best you can,
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Losing a pet is never easy, like all bereavements, remembering the good times can help, we had a cat for over 20 years, a feral rescue cat, always stayed a bit wild, but I say hi every time I pass her spot in the garden even after almost a decade.
Agree with you there Burnie!
Not long after we moved here our cat Neo was run over and we planted an apple tree where we buried him. We call the tree the Neopomme tree. No idea what the variety is now… but the apples are lovely and tasty and we still fondly think of him.
I think it’s good to be so sad…it shows how much we loved them and that they touched our lives.
On a more positive note though- I think a bit of a sesh in the garden might be possible today. I have a rather large bay shrub in need of cutting back. I usually make Xmas wreaths out of it but didn’t do them this year so it’s very much in need of a good cut back before the new growth really kicks off.
I had a quick mosey around the front garden yesterday- and still no sign of any snowdrops, although I’ve seen quite a few growing wild in hedgerows.
I’m so looking forward to the Spring bulbs coming through now!
Enjoy your day peeps- let’s appreciate what we have

So sorry to hear about Hibou Nicos. She had a wonderful life with you. Our two dogs are buried under a bench that we used to sit on while waiting for the OH to come home. I sit there and have a chat with them! We will miss hearing about her antics and Bren is right she was the Vine cat! Cheers Hibou! xx
Good afternoon all,so sorry to hear about hibou,as has been said, you gave each other your best,it will be her little gifts you miss also, she was lucky to have you as her mom, rest in peace Hibou x,
sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these
Lovely to hear about other people’s pets- thank you for sharing your stories.
She’s tucked up now next to the oak sapling- with her favourite catnip fish toy.
Burnie- exciting times…you’re going to need to check those spuds at least twice a day now
I was shocked to see how soggy our back field is- it’s going to take a while for it to warm up and dry out. Planting out of spuds seems so far away, but it’ll be here before we know it!
Having said that, the sun has come out strongly just now- and there’s a lot of heat in it whilst standing out of the breeze. Roll on Spring, it’s feeling like it’s just around the corner…well, when it’s not hailstoning
