  • Morning

For those who like a second breakfast I have Bagels topped with garlic and herb cheese going spare.

I went through my herb and spice containers yesterday it looks like I need to stock up on a few, I even found a couple of duplicates not sure how that happened.

    Fingers crossed for you Carrie

    • Good Morning All it was still dark at 8 this morning so I stayed in bed reading until 9.30. It's still very dull now. Yes please to the bagel Bren. Have a good day

      • Good morning.

Another awful night's sleep. I've only managed around 5 hours altogether and that has been in bits and bats.

The weather forecast for today is cloud an rain. In fact that is the forecast for the week. No snow or sunshine.

I think I'm in need of my daily dose of caffeine now. Time to head for the kitchen.

        • Good morning all dull and dark and raining here, however it's to pass over.
We will take a trip to the library this morning and pick-up some groceries on the way home.
I think it will be a day to do another bit of my jigsaw, really not getting anywhere with it.
Enjoy the day all and remember we are moving towards spring.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

          • Fingers crossed Carrie.

That's the reason I think we need one Nicos because we always went to garden centres as did she and my dad, infact all my life garden centres or tea/coffee and cake has been involved even from a child taking my gran anywhere....always tea/cake or chips butties by the sea /lakes/anywhere 🤣
Up until this last year I've not really known mum go anywhere without a coffee shop getting involved somewhere. It's in the genes I think, lancashire and pots of tea constantly.

MH we have 2 big centres but they're first come first served, I wouldn't want to get there and there not be one available.

Crumpets are hot...come and get them

            • A bit warmer today 6 degrees positively tropical, other half has a nasty cough and cold, so I was given permission to do some shopping(normally way above my pay grade apparently and I don't know how to pack bags either it seems). Light breeze and light rain the forecast for days ahead, but we need the rain after that summer we had.

              • Afternoon all,we got some weak sunshine and dry,it is nice and very spoiling, shoping done and packed away,i hate shopping on a Saturday, had a job to park the car,
Carrie all the best, and Burni, ask her for lessons on how, none will know about your private tuition ,glad you got some sleep GF,have a siesta,i enjoy a jigsaw, the variouse shadings are a challenge, but by hek,how proud you achieved it,wheelchairs are great, not just for the one riding in it,but for the one pushing,as you get places quicker, the only thing i found was,i had a job when on a slope,we had NHS one,it was a bit heavy, but it did fold down into a smaller space if needed, take the footrest of,cusion out, fold the handled over, even take out the side rests,i still got, could do with some more tyres, when i handed back all the equipment, none wanted the wheelchair, not even the salvation army,so decided to hold onto it,2 peeps have already borrowed it,
Looks like the onion seeds are capoot, and very few leeks are growing,at least i got some, have a good afternoon

Nothing on the cards today. Made some leek and potato soup and that’s about it.
Best of luck Carrie, everything crossed for you.
Enjoy the rest of your day folks. x

                          • Morning all.

George Michael on the CD this morning. A little bit of dancing. Well swaying with waving arms if I'm honest. But no-one's watching, so who cares. Except the smiles, who had a good giggle before setting off on their rounds.

Work to finish and some domestics to do. Also started a loaf of sourdough yesterday. My first loaf in months and months. I got a free sample of a starter with a purchase I made. A bit surprised how vigorous it is, even in our chilly conditions. Anyway, there's a blessing to count even though it's been so long since I made a loaf that I'm not certain how to pre-shape it given that it's got to go in a very long clay mould (first time I've used it). If the loaf is not a success, it'll clearly be my fault, as the starter is very active, it's a new bag of flour and the dough feels lovely.

Fingers crossed you get good news this week, Carrie. Cyber hugs to anyone feeling they might like one.

                            Have a great day, everyone.

                            • Good morning,

Not sure what the weather is like this morning I have not opened my curtains yet. I am just having a lazy morning in bed with a brew and preparing myself for later. I am going staying over at my sister's house tonight as my 4 year old nephew wants a sleep over with his Auntie Carrie and then want's me to take him to school tomorrow. I will prob end up in bed same time as him when it's his bedtime as the little fella tires me out lol.

                              Have a lovely day
