    • Morning all
Is there still a brew available ?
OH is back to work so need to get a tidy up done round here.
It's raining here, dog walk wasn't so bad but it's heavier now

It was cooler last night, OH lit the woodburner within an hour it was too warm had to open the window but had let it go out by then anyway.
This morning I've been back on warming porridge, have just stewed some plums with vanilla orange and allspice ready to put in a jar for breakfasts.
Blimey I will be making soups next.

        • Good morning all, it's a sunshiney morning,
Porridge here as well with apple and cinnemon.
The laundry is out and I am taking a walk while it's dry,
          Have a good day all,

          • Good morning.

Another half decent night's sleep, despite the full moon. I was awake once at around 5am. I had a peep in here but all I could here was gentle snoring.

I've just sneaked the heating on for half an hour as it's on the chilly side. I've been updating my online list for my next grory hop while waiting for things to warm up. Being such an organised person I've put dried fruit, glacé cherries and ground almonds on there ready for cakes and puddings for the festive season. One year I couldn't get hold of any currants in December, another year glacé cherries kept being sold out as fast as they appeared.

......I thought I'd posted this a couple of hours ago, but evidently not. The sun is now shining and I think its time for the washer to earn it's keep.

CG, I'm already making soup and even thinking about stews too.

                • We have a stew on the hob as we speak. The house smells wonderful!

The oil has arrived. I don’t envy the tanker driver handling the small country lanes around here! I guess they must be expert in manoeuvring them into tight places.

Which reminds me…a few years ago we saw one reversing into a driveway off another road. A right angle turn on a narrow lane…with two 8’ gateposts and a ditch opposite He literally had a couple of inches either side to manoeuvre the vehicle without scraping the posts/ tanker.
We sat waiting gobsmaked watching as he completed it in one slow movement
Had to say, we pullled up next to his cab and gave him thumbs up….boy was he chuffed with himself. I grin even now seeing the satisfaction on his face. Such a skill!

Lucky to get my walk in this morning while it was dry and sunny.
Got the laundry dry as well, so no complaints here.

                    • Afternoon all. A lovely day here but rain on the way later to spoil it. I’m hoping it’s nice tomorrow as we are meeting some friends for lunch. Other than blood work this morning it’s a quiet day.

                      • It's been sunny all day until now and it's dark and pouring with rain! At least it waited till I'd got the washing dry. Back to the Escape Room then. Have a nice evening.

Bit early I know..even the birds haven’t started chirping …but…full moon shining through the open window doesn’t help
Still, it looks lovely out there bathed in moonlight with twinkly stars and not a breath of wind.
So…hands up those fancying a brew?…I’ll tiptoe around the kitchen….
