Always good to know what other people are cooking, especially if it's with home-grown produce. Sounds like you have some serious culinary skills too. I have never made beef olives.

We have another sunny day here so the washer is on (as usual) , I intend to head outside, why waste the weather as its to be grey tomorrow. Think I will do some pricking out and then continue reading. OH bought me a new kindle, it's great for outside reading.

A cloudy morning here with an expected high today of only 20°C.

I'm going to ring my brother in law this morning as there's something I think he should get in touch with the doctor's surgery about which could make his life much easier. He's generally the sort of person who doesn't like making a fuss.

Amazon surpassed themselves yesterday. I ordered somthing on Saturday with free delivery on Wednesday. It arrived yesterday.

I've never made beef olives either, I've just had to google them.

I'm struggling to think of what to make for tonight's meal as the fridge is looking rather depleted. Tomorrow is a grory hop delivery.

Time to make coffee now.

Morning all,cloudy,dry and very warm here,more time in the garden,got some large boulders/rocks in place scrubed up with bleach and water,they come up beautiful,will plant some shrubs in between interplanted eventually with smaller plants/and daffs for next spring,other half cleared another patch of pots and other stuff,then we can get to see were and how i want the new path to go,so it makes better use and give more lawn space,i absolutly love how it is looking,wish i could post pics Nicos,i used to before i had the laptop,but for some reason cannot get things to work with one another,the pics already on the lappy i can get get on the forum,if i could down size,also since i changed phone cannot get the pics from camera to the lappy,i need an experts help,will have to see if son can help,i have just had so much other stuff going on,for my brains to engage,as i want them too,am also trying to get my phone to do a video,i know it,s easy as pressing buttons,but i got to get in the concentration mode,my mind is all the garden right now,need to have a good shop as well,i run out off a few things,even wash tabs,any hooo have a great day everyone,things to do,all the best for MR Snoop

Completely understand lottie… sounds like a very rewarding project!

We too have breezes and slightly cooler weather. Bliss.
A friend came over first thing and helped pick about 12 kg of mirabelles and will come and take what’s left once everyone else has taken what they can use. Tis good seeing produce not going to waste!

I managed to get all the sofa covers washed and then line dried, so that a good job sorted too .

I’m hoping to get the rest of the ironing out of the way then attack the windfall apples ..again, so that’s going to keep me out of mischief for a while

Well…best get on with it all then!

Beef Olives…are they a Scottish thing? My son loves them but can’t seem to get them in England. We did notice though on our way home from England last time that Tesco in Carlisle have started to do some Scottish things like square sausage. Must have a look for beef olives next time we are in.

Tesco Annan and Lockerbie do quite alot of Scottish stuff so maybe because of the customers being both sides of the border they've included Carlisle too as stockist.

Also I thought beef olives as Scottish

Afternoon all.

Back home safe and sound. Mr Snoop now having an afternoon kip. Long may it last, as he's struggling to sleep. MRI people very friendly but say results will take two weeks rather than the one week stated by the GP. Might go in and see him Wednesday, ask if there's anything else that can be done in the meantime to help.

Jack is having a first experience - thunder, lightning, a little bit of rain and windsock-busting winds (no hail, thank goodness). No idea how Mr Snoop is sleeping through it, but he is. Apparently cold air from the Atlantic is the cause. Air temps have dropped the forecast 10 ºC and on Wednesday will be another 5 ºC lower still. Phew. Just have to hope they had more rain and less wind in Portugal and in northern and western Spain to help put out the fires.

Right, let's see if I can get a bit of work done while Jack gives his broom what for.
