  • Good afternoon mostly sunny periods but the occasional light rain, it really is good to be back home, though I did enjoy our break, driving home yesterday was a bit stressful, spent twenty minutes on a roundabout ( and not the magic one) and that was after fifteen minutes trying to reach it, then once we reached our home town and heading down for our house we were stopped by the police as they were turning the traffic due to a road accident, and as it was right at our road end we couldn't get home, so had to go up to our sons for a while, fortunately no one was badly hurt in the colision, but it was an elderly woman who was driving one of the cars,so badly shaken and no doubt some bruising, fortunately others had seen it happen and could tell the police that the orher car was traveling at high speed, or no doubt it would be another old person driving statistic.
LD I had a look at Parkers and yes I think they have what I am looking for, so many thanks for that, and to answer the question of my hand, it seems I have high blood pressure, so even though I had been given a local anaesthetic for the procedure, they were unwilling to risk it, so now taking tablets for the blood pressure and go to see the nurse on Wednesday and hopefully the pressure will be ok, I then see the surgeon the next Tuesday, and hopefully I can get a new date for the op. though OH insisted on us buying a pressure machine, and after using it last night I made the mistake of letting her know it was high, so today its moans if I move to do anything, and before any of you wtart agreeing with OH I know she is right, but it is so frustrating, remember even though I have said she is right, whats said on the Vine stays on the Vine. The enjoy the remainder of the day and smile

              • Good morning. Well nearly! Sort of pre-dawn, middle of the night.

I am not awake by choice at this ridiculous hour. "Somebody" else who shall remain nameless woke me and now I can't get back to sleep. He of course is now fast asleep again 😴😴, so I haven't even got someone to talk to.

It's very quiet. I can't even hear a faint distant hum from the M1, despite the window being open.

I'm going to try and snuggle down again. I really need some more sleep.

                • Morning GF, morning all.

I too could do with a bit more sleep. But about to take an early morning dog walk with our Italian friend and his dog. Fingers crossed Jack is suitably intimidated by her considerable size (Pyrenean mastiff) and learns a few things from her lovely character.

Might go back to bed when I get back... Then all the things I didn't do yesterday, including bread, cookies and work. Oops!

                  Have a great day, everyone.

Bramble the moon did look impressive and not a cloud in sight.

No plans here today apart from finishing of my sewing project, I've cut up an old caravan awning to make a sunshade. There's some useable fabric left that'll be handy for making bags.

                    Enjoy your day

                    • Mornin n’alln’all

I had a stupidly early night last night- utterly exhausted! So much so , the moon wasn’t up and it wasn’t until Hibou woke me up at 4.30 , asking to go out that I spotted it!
I think she might have mistaken the brightness for dawn. Anyway- I did indeed spot it…then forgot to look out for the meteor shower which comes to a peak on Tuesday

According to that ^^^ early morning is probably the best time to see them. I guess the full moon won’t help though.

What a fantastic project Bren! Very rewarding. I wish more people would try to upcycle like that!

The only ‘jobs’ today will be watering twice and cooking down of windfall apples.
We’re heading off to a vide grenier after breakfast and will take the day as it unfolds!

Enjoy your day peeps, and remember to share your lovely smiles. I’ve already had my first smiles of the day just thinking of how Jack is going to respond to your friends dog Snoop!

Like a squealy coward initially. But had great fun later on. They're a bit of a mismatch in size, but it went very well. He learned very quickly how to get her attention: run up to her owner and look for a fuss to make her jealous so she would run after him. He's too clever for our own good. Repeat walk on Tuesday and perhaps every other day. E (friend) walks a lot quicker than me, so I was a bit of a sweaty mess on return. But he's a good friend, so who cares?
