It's supposed to rain here soon so I've been in the garden picking raspberries, blackberries and generally pottering around.

I could not fall asleep last night. I was tossing and turning well into the early hours of today.

The district nurse called round as promised. She's requested a new prescription from the doctor for Mr GF and is calling back next Saturday.

It hasn't rained here yet but it's looking as if a shower could be imminent. It feels decidedly chilly. My hand hovered around the thermostat earlier, but in the end I decided that it would be more sensible to put a few more clothes on instead. Central heating in AUGUST!

I've got a croissant baking in the air fryer for Mr GF.

I'll go make more coffee now.

Full on Jack for the last three hours. Fortunately he's conked out now. I'm exhausted and ready for a good long nap myself.

But got a lot to get through workwise, so better get a move on with that. Oh, and want to get some bread on the go as well.

I was thinking about lighting our woodstove last night GF…just to burn a couple of logs and then let it die down. Instead I grabbed my Hotwater bottle. And yes….it’s literally only just August!

I must check to see if we have any blackberries. I did spot a couple the other day in the hedgerows…. Bit early for us really

Good evening all, its been dry and sunny here.
I did something silly with my tablet this morning and reduced my keyboard to minimal
Couldnt see it well enough to type, fortunately my tec wizard grandson was coming for lunch, so he fixed it..
Its a bank holiday here tomorrow so if the weather permits we plan to go out.
We were meant to go out this afternoon but my son messed up the arrangements so we stayed home.
Hope allhave a good evening, and Jay, I hope you don't get the brunt of the storm, seems it's heading your way.

Morning all,dull and warm here,stay safe those in the path off Floris,where has the weekend gone ?????,the new lawn area is coming on,most plants shrubs in,still a lot to do,MR is my garden saviour,without him it would not be happening,my plan off said garden is slowly evolving,as one area cleared,my coggs are on the next thing to do,the smiles have done a fly past an their way,choir meet up later for a coffee and chat,have a good day everyone,

Good morning.

It's another chilly one here. I nearly flicked the central heating on as I walked past on the way to the bathroom earlier. It's also very wet. If I concentrate I can really hear the M1 traffic in the distance. It is a louder than normal hum. Common sense says shut the windows. Let the double glazing keep the noise and cold out.

A gas engineer is coming to service the boiler this afternoon.

Mr GF is still asleep but the thought of coffee is luring me to the kitchen.
