  • Mornin n’alln’all
Sorry GF…looks like we have hogged the nice weather!

A lightweight wheelchair sounds great! At least your OH won’t be missing out as much on a bad day…..that must be frustrating for him.
Oooo….just think of how much shopping you can pile onto his lap

Yet another busy day ahead, so a nice brew to start it off…anyone care to join me?

      • Morning all.

Did they give you the time of the appointment in the message, LD? Is it the same as the appointment you're expecting? Might they be the same? It does seem odd.

A wheelchair is a good idea, GF. It'll make a huge difference getting into places like the hospital if you can't find parking nearby. Hope you like the one you've spotted. My mum bought one for us to use but it cut into the back of her thighs as the seat was quite short. She didn't find it very comfortable, even with a cushion. Just mentioning this in case it's relevant.

Jack has conked out early today. Possibly in response to yet another wasp sting, as he suddenly shot in holding his paw up. Poor lad. That's four stings now. With any luck he'll put two and two together soon.

Right, better get on with work, as per. Gradually crossing things off the list, which is good.

        Have a great day, everyone.

A Grory hop at some point today its dry so we'll walk up.

GF is there a local place you could try wheelchairs before committing to buying, there does seem to be differences between them.

Poor Jack he has a lot to learn.

          Enjoy your day

          • I got another good hour of heavy sleep. I never even heard the noisy binmen, but they must have been as the regimented line of bins at the kerb are now all higgledy piggledy.

Lottie, that sounds like a bit of a blunt, scary text to get out of the blue. Computers and hospitals are decidedly lacking in bedside manner these days.

The grory hop delivery has just arrived again and is now packed away. No substitutions or missing items. The only thing that I seem to be over ordering lately is wine. My stash is growing. Nothing like the amount I used to have when we used to make a day trip through the tunnel across to Calais twice a year though. I used to love driving onto the train and arriving in Calais in just over half an hour.

I like your thinking re shopping Nicos. However, I'll be the one pushing it. I know exactly what we want as when we went to a showroom in Leeds for one for my brother in law a few months ago, we all tried them all out. Mr GF basically needs the same chair as my brother in law has but without the self-propelling wheels. My brother in law did have a similar looking NHS wheelchair first but it was really heavy and uncomfortable to sit in.

            • Aww…poor Jack. Still, I guess it’s better than a sting on the face.
Have to say I’ve seen some really funny photos of dogs with stings on their faces. Poor things…first of all for being stung in the first place but also ( thankfully unaware)of the thousands or more people having a chuckle at their expense. Yeh…you’ve gotta laugh at the poor things
Hope he’s a quick learner Snoop!

              • Good Morning All Cloudy but breezy here today. Waiting for Grory Hop then I can hang out the bedding. My washing lines are at the back so the laundry would get in the way.
That sounds fishy Lottie, is it a new scam of some kind? We often discussed at work whether imposing fines would reduce the DNA rates, but it's not in the spirit of the NHS.
Poor Jack, it's a painful lesson he's getting! The wheelchair will be useful GF.
                Have a good day

                • Good afternoon, no time to check in this morning,,busy, busy,
All done and under control now.

Poor Jack, it must be so scary and painful for him, hope he learns about wasps and bees quickly,

Check that message out Lottie, make sure its legitimate.

I hope you get the wheelchair that Mr GF needs.

                  Have a good afternoon all.

                    • Good evening, was at our church coffee morning and just sat down when I received a phone call from the doctor, I had phoned the clinic to request a phone callfrom the doctor, he told me to come down to the clinic so that he could have a look at the leg, I again have a swollen leg, this time my left leg, and again I'm on strong antibiotics, he reckons that I have been either stung or bitten by something, which of course could have happened last week when I was out with shorts on due to the high temperatures, I normally wear trousers, and guess what I will be wearing trousers from now on, (need to tell OH I'm the one who wears the trousers) anyway the doctor told me to rest and sit with my leg raised, I asked him for a note to excuse me from doing housework, he told me if Iworked he could give a line so that I could stay off work but his authority has limits, so tonight I am sitting quietly with my leg elevated, so that I dont disturb OH, and on reflection I think I will let the trouser wearing bit pass Enjoy your evening and keep the smiles ckise at hand so that you can pass them on

                            • Yikes Rary….it does sound like a horsefly bite!

We’ve been out most of the day , just got home and Hibou caught and gave us a live mouse as a welcome home treat. Yep…live…in the house….so guess who has been scrabbling around under the furniture playing cat and mouse with them.?
And it’s now outside again thank goodness.

We are suddenly inundated with drunken wasps under our black cherry tree. We’re still collecting molding cherries as they fall, so they are making that job a bit more tricky to say the least.

Today absolutely has to be a gardening day. We’ve sort of neglected the main garden and it needs a bit of attention .
So, a quick grory hop then fingers crossed we can set to out there- rain permitting.

Rary…hope your leg is starting to settle. Bit of a shock I’m sure having only just git over the previous leg!
I’ve had a look at your blog…nice one matey…very much looking forward to seeing it progress.

                                Right…first things first…brew time?….
