  • Bizarre isn't it? She's worked so hard to make everything perfect on the day. They're making their vows in the open air, so when she heard about this German tradition, she decided to give it a try!

        • Mornin n’alln’all

Woke up actually thinking and feeling excited for Flo!
I have my fingers and toes crossed in anticipation Flo…Hope the day goes really well. Something always goes ‘off plan’ even with the best laid plans…(but hope it’s nothing serious)
Be interesting to hear from others what didn’t go to plan at their wedding….
For me…nothing much, but mine was a Town Hall wedding and the local election results were pinned to the lovely old wooden doors where we’d planned to stand for our photos
Anyway…as I said…hope the day goes really well Flo, and your feet are as comfy as you hope. Xxxx

Today I need to go and get more computer paper…hadn’t realised we’d almost run out . Think I may have been printing off rather a lot of family tree info recently!
We also have a box of organic beef to collect from a local farmer. The guy we buy organic manure from.

Apart from that, a mixture of gardening and domestics

Enjoy your day peeps…I’ve no doubt the smiles will be lingering around Flo no doubt recharging their batteries…bet they come away absolutely glowing!

          • Morning all.

Hope you have a lovely day, Flo and family and friends.

Bright sunshine here and definitely warmer temperatures. Very late for everything in the garden, but I will at long last start planting things out this weekend.

On the cards for today, tidying and a bit of work. An awful lot of tidying. My desk alone is an utter mess.

I'll recount my totally off-plan wedding tomorrow. Flo won't want to hear it today. We did get married, but it was a near thing and not because of cold feet on the part of the bride or groom.

            Have a great day, everyone.

                • Good morning all.

I hope that you all have a great day, Flo. The weather looks very promising. The sausage must have worked.

Supposedly, late tonight, we've a 90% chance of rain! I've almost forgotten what it looks/feels like.

I awoke from a horrible nightmare in the early hours.....There were monsters in it, unseen, that were attracted by the slightest sound and I was in a bar with a crowd of loud Americans who were watching baseball on the T.V.

                  Time for more coffee now.

Lovely sunny day here then lots of overnight rain so I'll be leaving trugs and buckets out to catch all I can.

Enjoy your day especially Flo and family.

Flo, have a wonderful day with your family.

                      • Good afternoon, still sunny but not as warm as previous days, heavy rain forecasted for tomorrow, will be fine if it,comes but will enjoy however the day turns out, was out getting some support stakes for my tomatoes and dahlias a wee while ago, the tomatoes are supported with string but have decided to use wooden support for them, I actually have some tomatoes on the plants already, definitely the earliest I have had them, unfortunately wont be harvesting them before the end of May but still pleased with them. I have a number of jobs to get done, so will be kept busy for a bit of time, so enjoy your day and keep smiling

                        • Good evening all.
A busy afternoon in the greenhouse. Potted on my cape gooseberries into their final pots.
Did some weeding but then the rain started so back indoors now.

Rary, I use bamboo canes to stake up my tomatoes and dahlias.

                          Have a good evening all.

                          • Nipped out to get a few things and just happened to call in at the farm supplies shop….oooops…

We’d decided not to grow tomatoes this year but then OH ( note I said OH!) picked up a tray of 10 marmande tomato plants at half price 3.30€ for the lot Stupidly low price at 6.60€ for 10…but who could resist at half price
They are easily 30 cm tall and clearly in need of rescuing- and planting deep - but otherwise looking pretty healthy.
Looks like we’ll be setting up a little hospital/ Intensive Care section .

We use tall metal spirals to support our tomatoes then run a couple of hazel branches between them all .
Not quite sure where the metal spirals are though….somewhere in the barn!

Got a few other bargain flower plants too
Te he…just when you couldn’t be more run off your feet, then something even more urgent jumps to the top of the priority list.
Good job we bought 3 more bags of potting compost. Peat free too!!!!

                            • What a ridiculous hour to be wide awake! I've just had a wander round and it is actually raining .... for the first time in weeks. I hope we get a decent amount. I hope it held off until after your wedding celebrations, Flo.

I'm sitting here in bed, attempting to cool right down so that when I snuggle back down I appreciate the comfortable warmth and hopefully drop back to sleep. Mr GF is fast asleep😴. I keep fighting the urge to go raid the fridge. I'm not hungry, just bored.

For ages I've been trying to decide if I would use an air fryer if I got one. They do seem to be very popular. I even got one for my brother in law a couple of years ago as he was struggling to bend down and keep his balance when using his oven. I know he uses it a lot. Yesterday, while browsing online, I somehow managed to order one (Bank Holiday sale) which will arrive by Wednesday. A new toy to play with. Any tips much appreciated.

I think the rain might have stopped now as I can hear birds twittering away outside.

I think I'll go and grab a book to read and see if that sends me to sleep.

                              • Morning GF and all.

I thought I was awake early at 4.30 but GF you have me beat hands down. We have had rain here too, but not that much from what I can see, and it's stopped now.

I have also been toying with the idea of an air fryer but not sure if I'd use it enough to warrant having it sit taking up counter top space. And how to decide which is best? Which one have you gone for GF?
