Good morning all, another lovely sunny morning here.
A trip to the library to return some books and a visit to the post office,
We went to visit our friend Joan yesterday and as it was such a lovely day the staff had all the residents sat out in the sun.
Alcohol free guinness and white wine were served and ice cream cones with old time music playing in the background.
I couldn't help noticing what a lift it gave to all the residents, it was a real party feel.

My daughters dog is having an operation this morning, he has a tumour on his spleen. He is an old dog so we have our fingers crossed.
Snoop hope all goes well for your dog.

Drat! The car battery died again. I've got my favourite mechanic to order me a new one. At least I wasn't left stranded this time as I've now acquired one of the little jump start/powerbank/,torches. Always handy for peace of mind.

I love cars....when they work!

What beautiful weather🌞🌞🌞 The shorts have even had another airing today. I'm just going to fetch my second load of washing in from the line.... thick towels.

Shorts... No idea when I'll be able to get mine out of their winter hibernation. It's another really cold day here with on-and-off drizzle.

Hope your daughter's dog makes a speedy recovery after the op, bramble.

Hugs to everyone with sick pets…very much know the feeling and it’s heartbreaking. Sending lots of positive thoughts….

We went to the vets today to get more medication and the vet happened to walk out of her room…spotted us and a massive grin lit up her face!…she clearly hadn’t thought Hibou would have pulled through after what the consultant had said after the scan.
Borrowed time I know, but these things in life do help us to focus and appreciate the good things we have.
Give your pets and loved ones an extra hug tonight- just because you can x

I’ve managed to pot up most of the geranium but very wary about potential frosts…we still have 4 more weeks before we can breathe a sigh of relief.
Didn’t do any weeding…went for 40 winks and woke up 2 hrs later. Oh well

More domestics and gardening tomorrow - it’s supposed to be warmer and sunnier , so I hope to get loads done!

Shorts?…hmmm…I actually don’t have any proper shorts…just elasticated ‘pedal pushers’ type people wear in gyms.
They don’t look super cool with goosebumps do they?

I had an early morning hair cut, then visitors so the day seemed to go fast.

I wear shorts a lot to me its no different to wearing a skirt, just less draughty.

Good evening, I am kept quite busy just now, daughter and S in L are on holiday and we have moved into her house while they are away as I have to take the boys to their work, one starts at 6.30 the other 6.45 and ofcourse at different ends of the compass a journey of 5 miles to drop of the first then a nine mile drive for the second, then much the same to get them home and both trips at the busiest times on the road and I'm long past driving like an idiot fortunately being deaf I Don hear the comments that come when I don't drive at 50 or 60 miles an hour on a roundabout, now going down to cover my plants for the night as there's still a chance of a touch of frost overnight, so enjoy the good weather and keep smiling

Bit early I know I just got woken by Hibou demanding food, even though there is a bowl of biscuits always out.
Cant complain….precious times and all that …so as she’s now snuggled back to sleep, I may try and do the same!
Nice to hear the start of the dawn chorus though…

Good morning Nicos and any other early risers or insomniacs.

I've been wide awake since 3 am. No idea why. If I had to get up at this ridiculous hour I'm sure my brain would be ignoring the alarm clock and I'd be fast asleep.

I'm going to try snuggling down for one more time now.

Well….I’ve given up and decided to have a brew…anyone else fancy one?

We were just saying yesterday that we don’t seem to have our wood pigeons around this year following the collapse of some of the branches of ‘their’ tree during the pre Xmas storms …only for one of our guests yesterday evening to present us with the shell of a wood pigeon’s egg from the garden! One side had clearly been eaten so it hadn’t hatched.Wonder where they’ve moved to?

Morning all.

Bright here at the moment. 100% probability of storms all day, say the forecasts. Fingers crossed they stay wrong all day and not just now. We're doing lunch for the hordes, pizza thank goodness. Then lentil moussaka for supper. And quite a bit of tidying in between times. So I really need to shake a leg, but it looks like I might have lost my mojo today. Definitely would much rather sit around and soak up some rays.

I'll get the kettle on for brews, just to get me going. Anyone want to join me?
