The quick nip to the vide grenier was indeed quick!…OH was reluctant to go but ended up coming back with a replacement spade handle and an old wooden crate for his home brew!. Me?…absolutely nuffink
One happy OH…at least he’ll be more willing to go to the next one!
Its turned out to be a lovely day…nice bit of gardening completed and some domestics too. All in all , a grande day

It has indeed been a lovely day. I had family visiting and had Frank for an hour. I've done a bit more tidying in the garden and am about to go and water the tubs of flowers now that they're in the shade. Have a good evening

We have sunshine too now that the mist has lifted.
It got down to 6C last night so I’m waiting for it to warm up a tad before I set to out there. No doubt I’ll be saying it’s too hot later on

What a beautiful, warm, sunny morning it is. The forecast for this week is amazing. Hard to believe that it's still only April.

My brother in law has just rung me. His TV has died! I'll go round shortly. Make sure it's not the fuse or my brother in law doing something daft. Presuming it has actually died, I'll probably order him another while I'm there, on my phone. Having just had a browse, I can't believe how cheap TVs are nowadays. I remember the first flat screen TVs were exorbitant, and weighed a ton. A few years ago I got all the elderly relatives on the same make of TV as we have. It just makes things a lot quicker if I am used to the handset and navigating my way around the menus and I can diagnose and sort out some of their problems over the phone.

Good idea about the TV gf….we spent hours on the phone to my mom trying to sort out her TV from a distance….so much easier if they are the same. ( turned out she’d accidentally knocked the plug whilst vacuuming! Easily done I suppose.)

As predicted, I’ve come indoors to cool down!
I know there are a couple of mini choc- ices in the kitchen freezer…..hmmmm…hard not to resist!

Nothing on the cards today though.

My brother in law does need a new TV. I was all ready to order him one on a big electrical retailer's website, but the website refused to behave. It never even let me get to the payment screen. It kept telling me the details were incorrect! It had my email address and mobile number, but my brother in law's address for delivery, maybe that confused it. After about 4 attempts, getting more frustrated by the minute, I left my brother in law's flat, went into the outskirts of the city, to their shop, which was empty and ordered it there. He's, hopefully, getting it delivered tomorrow. I'll set it up for him then.

I also called in at the mini Sainsburys and grabbed a punnet of yellow sticker strawberries.
