it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

I wonder if you could nip them off to encourage them to grow outwards as well. Do you have an idea how you might approach it?

Nice size bed and tunnel, by the way.

      • Evening

It seems like I’ve spent the whole day in the garden. Planting out, re-homing self seeded plants and tidying the GH.
Next doors gave me lots of plant pots really useful sizes along with seed trays and propagator lids.

        • Good evening all
When we were out this morning I came across a store selling tomato plants.
As mine have had a late start I bought four.
Gardeners Delight, Moneymaker, Cherry Falls and a variety called Previa, which is new to me.
Spent some of the afternoon in the garden, thrj it started to rain and thrn my daughter and grandaughter called and put an end to the work.
          There's always tomorrow.
          Have a good evening all.ðð

          • hi all, been another warm day,ref tissue in the washer,i find that when been in the tumble drier,it mostly comes off,and you find the bits in the filter, workes even on black things thank goodness,
ref tromba plants, they take over, they sprout from everywhere,by leting them grow new shoots, you keep them going till almost first frosts, keep them trimed, but let new leads grow to maintain croping, you will find it will fill that size tunnel a few times, you will only need 1 plant, unless you feed several peeps, you can also try trailing it around the inside of the frame, but my concern would be not enough air space,i find they grow much better when in a higher tunnel,i will grow 1 this year,

            • Mornin n’alln’all

We’ve had a very sploshy evening and night, so everything is well watered at least!
What a productive day Bren!…leaves you feeling really satisfied doesn’t it?

I was thinking of going to my first local vide Grenier of the year, but my guess would be that stall holders will have been put off by the rain.
Basically a car boot sale…. But nothing like the Medieval market you went to Snoop!
I absolutely love events like that!
              Did you take any pictures?

Plenty of Domestic Goddess chores to keep me busy if it carries on raining, but I do fancy a bit of downtime for a change.

It’s suddenly dawned on me that it’s Easter next weekend
I’ve hidden a big bag of Cadbury’s mini eggs and a small bag of mini chocolate orange eggs I bought last time I was over so I best try and find them!…not too soon mind, or they may not make it until next weekend

Whats everyone else up to today?
              Whatever it us, enjoy yourselves!

              • Morning all.

                Sunny again

My apple trees are starting to flower so I'm hoping all the mason bees emerging from the bee hotel will pollinate them for me. There have been quite a few red tailed bumbles about too, mostly on the pulmonaria. They seem to love that. I need to do some potting on today. I was hoping to wait until after the expected cold snap, so there would be plenty of room to bring everything indoors if I needed to, but the seedlings are outgrowing their cells and need more space. I shall just have to leave some outside and fleece everything well.

Anyone for a cuppa? I'll bring them round on a tray if you're still under the covers.

                        • Good morning.

It's not as nice a day today. A lot of cloud and the temperature will only be just over half yesterday's.

I got my thick brushed cotton bedding dry in the sunshine and breeze on the washing line and it smells so nice. (I'm not a fan of fake fabric conditioner smells. Smelly candles are even worse, most make me sneeze).

Nicos, I got Mr GF to hide me some mini eggs individually one Easter. He did it rather too well. I found the last one at Christmas, hiding among the decorations in our ottoman bed. Well, I hope that it was the last.....

Rary, it sounds as if you are back to using your hand fully again. Has all the pain gone now?

Time to make more coffee now. I think I might just have a croissant with Mr GF.

                          • Morning all.

                            Lovely brew, MH, thanks.

The clouds are blowing in for the 100% storm conditions today. Mr Snoop was not very sympathetic about my annoyance at not being able to weed for rain. Just put wellies on, he said. This from a man who refuses to weed in any conditions. But I suppose he's right. Anyway, with any luck I'll manage a bit of seed sowing before it gets really bad. By this time next year, I'm going to make sure that by hook or by crook, I have some sort of greenhouse where I can sow and potter to my heart's content. Right, that's that off my chest.

No photos, sorry, Nicos. My phone takes useless pictures and I'm a useless photographer these days. Not a winning combination.

Better take the dog out while it's still dry.

                            Have a great day, everyone.

                            • Good morning all. A little on the dull side this morning.
                              Off to the church shortly.
No plans for the afternoon so I might prick out some seedlings.
Snoop, I hope the rain holds off for you,
                              Happy Sunday all.

A sunny day here so we've emptied the GH and pressure washed it I don't have a shed so racking 3 shelves hold everything I use from plant pots to BFB. Things like spades, rakes and forks go in the outside loo. Sat here with a mug of tea feeling just a bit damp.

Hope you manage to get your seeds sown Snoop its a good feeling to seed those seedling appear.

                                enjoy your day
