    • Good evening all. A very pleasant day here with just a quick shower this evening.
The forecast for the next week is looking settled....finally.

Nicos, so good to know Hibou is still enjoying life, you have done everything you can.

I was a cub scout leader and in later years took charge of the beaver scouts...6 to 8 year old.
I ended up on the fund raising committee, raising funds, and purchasing a new flag.
Lots of wonderful memories..and made some lifelong friends.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

        • Mornin n’alln’all

Grey and drizzly…the sort you often seem to get when walking in the hills.

Its great hearing about everyone’s memories!
I've just reread them and I’m sat here grinning

No idea what today will bring. I really should do a grory hop but don’t feel motivated to make the effort tbh.
I think it’s going to be one of those β€˜play it by ear’ days

Whats everyone else up to today?…Hope it involves passing on a smile?

          Enjoy your day peeps.

          • Morning Nicos
            I've brought you a cuppa.

Grey here too , may improve though. It was lovely yesterday.
I'd like to continue emptying some old compost from pots (tomato) onto a flower bed and have a re sort of the gh.
I've lots to be on with put it that way

            • Good morning from sunny Yorkshire.

Although it's a chilly 6Β°C outside the sun is shining brightly. I've just turned the thermostat up, and I am now sneaking back to bed while it takes effect.

              • Morning all.

Lovely to hear about all your brownie, guide, cub and scout experiences. Sounds like it made a big impact on your life, Bramble.

On the weather front here, we've got a day off the rain today. Tomorrow too, apparently. But today at least I'm stuck indoors. Must make some effort tomorrow to do some weeding. The wild rocket is now flowering and thigh high. All the olive groves and almond fields are full of it. The bees are making the most of it now the almond blossom has finished.

On the plot front, we definitely have badgers this year. I'm not sure what's worse for veg patches, boar or badgers. Or perhaps they're as bad as each other.

Better get on with things. Work calls and so does bread seeing as the sun is shining.

                Have a great day, everyone.

                        • Superman capes?

                          Love that idea

Do nurses still wear capes going from one building to another in hospital grounds?

                          • Good afternoon, have been out in the garden this morning, just stopped to have a bite to eat then will get back out, need to work on my hand was using a stapler and had to use my right hand, I didn't have the strength in my left hand to work it . Right for back out to get on with the work, keep a positive attitude, its far better than mopping about and keep smiling πŸ™‚

                            • What a beautiful Spring day. The world feels as if it's coming alive again. Quite a few bushes have got a faint green haze around them which I am sure will get stronger as leaves grow and open up. There is blossom open. The sun on my skin actually feels warm.

I waited in for a delivery earlier, (boring stuff). Since then we've been out. I got a couple of items for my brother in law, delivered them, eventually called in at the chemist and picked up our repeat prescriptions, and then called in at the park and sat by the duck pond eating ice cream in the sunshine. While I was picking up the bits of shopping for my brother in law in the mini supermarket, a carton of their "taste the difference" strawberries dive bombed my basket. I hope they're as nice as last year's.
