Morning all.

I never knew saying 'rabbits, rabbits, rabbits' was a thing, Nicos. Maybe it just means that now spring is on its way, rabbits breeding means there will be lots more of them... Just a wild guess.

And no leek tart here. While putting away the shopping yesterday, I came across a cauliflower tucked away at the back. It's been there for quite a while. How one can lose a whole cauliflower in a fridge I do not know. But time to eat it.

On the cards today, a bit of work, a bit of domestics and a bit of baking. And a lot of wet weather preparation. The forecast for the next ten days is cold and very wet. Slight possibility of snow tomorrow, which did not please Mr Snoop.

Edited to add: Apparently, GF, rubbing goose fat on your chest and then wrapping yourself in brown paper was once thought to be a good remedy for colds. I guess lard made a cheaper substitute. Don't think I'll be trying it myself, though.

My granny said she was told by an ‘elder’ in the family that as children they were sewn into brown paper and goose fat for the whole of the winter.

Good morning all,sun is shinning,but blooming cold,it is great to be on the mend,had a much better night,i need to find some energy now and will power,i got seeds that keep calling me,Goose fat on the chest is an old one,no idea if if it worked,but what a smelly mess it must have made ugggg,having got some nice fresh vegg i intend to do a big lot off chicken hot pot for the freezer,this time i will do it slowly on the gas top in the jam pan,see if it make any difference in taste ext, to using the preasure cooker hot pot thing,also got to do some washing,is supprizing where it come from with just ME,when you get older it makes you think how on earth you managed to do and fit in what you did years ago,is scary where time goes to,this last 3 weeks has made me think i can tell you,as for rabbit x 3,i have only heard it ref to someone keep chatting on relentless,have fun with your bakeing girls,

Eleven months of the year we say "white rabbits", but for March it's "March hares and white rabbits".

And so, on this lovely sunny day.. ( bitter wind mind) OH decided it was time to decant 5 litres of various fruit vodkas into bottles…and get more on the go to use up more mirabelle from the freezer. The simple blackcurrant one and the orange and cinnamon mirabelle vodkas have turned out the nicest.
Time for a quick brew ( plenty spare with Dorset apple cake if anyone cares to join us?) …then I need to get more wood in.

Tuesday will soon be here Bramble ! Exciting times!

Afternoon All Just enjoying a brew too after a little weeding in the sunshine. I've potted up the raspberry canes and I'm renaming them "Lazarus" to encourage some growth!

Good afternoon and yes Nicos goupin is a bit similar to throbbing, just that bit sorer I dont understand why you have never heard that word Snoop I have heard and used it for years unfortunately no I dont have a date for my other hand, though talking of dates, I tried arranging a date with OH, but she said NO then said I was only after one thing, then moved her purse out the way right need to cut this post a bit short as I have now had the invalid server notice about eleven times since I started and I would like to keep my tablet in one piece Anyway keep smiling and pass them on

If anyone else is experiencing the same problems, please don’t hesitate to let us know so we can help sort this out.
As far as we are aware, IT have been working on the server, so there may be some glitches they aren’t aware of.

It turned out to be a lovely day here spent mostly in the garden but it soon dropped cold at 4-ish.

I’ve not heard of any 1st of the month saying here for years.

Evening,done the hot pot ,not the outcome i wanted,no matter how many times I kept it turned over,and on a low heat with plenty of fluid in it,the damn thing still stuck to the bottom,it looks lovely,but,has a slight burn taste to it,seeing as it cost so much to do a big batch,i will have to find something to enhance the taste,experiment as i go along,but i did get 10 medium portions,plus aprox 2 more portions on the bottom,that will go in the bin,this where the chickens used to come in,so will not be doing it that way again,i think it must have been something to do with the pulses ,not the veg,win some loose some,if not ,i will just smile and bin the lot grrr,as i need to enjoy what i have,curry comes to mind for 1 try.
The only saying ref month i have heard are april first,pin punch,is amazing what comes up on here,

Frosty start to the day here too. Lovely sunshine- pity it’s so cold though

Just fancied herring and egg for breakfast- and I found a jar of them at the back of the shelf!…perfect.

Lots of ‘pottering’ today Getting on with some of the small jobs on the list.
