good morning all,the wind is not good,every now then a good blast,it does seem much colder,my stat keeps creeping up,i have the hive app on my phone and find it brilliant to just change up or down form my chair,without having to get up,i feel more in control, thanks for the ginger men Nicos,and GF if only about hibernation,especially the thinner bit,enjoy your new phones Bramble,Snoop thats a very wise choice to make,Jay have a lovely time with your granddaughter,these time are so preciouse ,just stay save as you can all

Good evening, was at church this morning then once back home and as it was nice and sunny, had quick bite to eat before getting out to the garden where I lifted some pots that I had missed before the bad weather hit us, I also stripped down an old office chair and intend to use the frame as a saw horse as its an ideal hight for sawing, a couple of blocks of wood in at the wheels and that will be it secured. So nice of Nicos to offer some tea then a plate of gingerbread men, but I wonder if we will get an offer of the Bailey's if she buys or makes it🤔 time will tell, anyway have a good evening and if you cant be good be careful goodnight

Good grief!…we have sunshine and enough blue to make a whole crew’s worth of sailors clothing!
Still breezey and very nippy mind. No complaints here

Having decided on 5 bedroom door replacements which are now complete…we’ve decided on two more other doors in the same style for the en-suites…so the dust continues Not ideal tbh but might as well crack on whilst all the equipment , and help, is to hand.

Good Morning All Dull again here today. Christmas Grory Hop delivery this morning, nothing exciting, just booze supplies and meat. I'm debating whether to put my tree up. It's over 6 feet tall and my son has to get it down from the loft. It's pre-lit but takes an age to erect and faff with. I wouldn't hesitate normally as I do love it, but is it time to get something more manageable? Have a good day

Good morning all.

The sun is defying the forecast and poking it's head out here. The forecast is also predicting a high of 8°C today, which is the highest maximum temperature this week. In other words keep the thermals to hand.

There's a couple of things that I need to go to a bigger supermarket for this week, so I might just have a sneaky trip into Sainsbury's today.😀😀😀 If I do I'm sure a few totally unecessary, but nice, bits and pieces will dive bomb my trolley and cling on for dear life until they are safely through the checkout.

I'm thinking about having a go at crystallising/candying some orange and/or lemon slices this week. It doesn't look too difficult. I once made some jars of stem ginger which were a success.

I sometimes wonder where I get these "mad" ideas from. Someone once tried to convince me that mindfulness was a good idea...... I far prefer letting my my brain roam free. A soupçon of common sense usually controls my most half-baked ideas.

I'm happy to say that the sun is still defiantly proving the weathermen wrong.

Good morning all. A little on the dull side but its 8 degs.
My friend and myself are off to our line dance Christmas party this afternoon so it should be fun.

Flo, I am thinking the same thing about our tree, its also in the attic and comes in three pieces, so takes an age to put it up.
I have a multitude of other Christmas pieces and lights do I might give it a miss.

Morning all.

Seems like I have everybody's rain today.

I've hummed and hawed over whether to get the tree out of the loft, and finally decided, no, not this year. No visitors expected over the festive period, so the only one to look at it is me.

Good afternoon, cold but sunny today, had to take one of,daughter's dogs to the groomers this morning, then pick her up, after which when I got back home OH had decided to clean out some cupboards, which of course meant I had to clear and clean the top shelves, anyway she stopped for a rest which gave me the opportunity to get out to the hut to clean? that up, evidently with it being so cold it is a work in progress, I will get back out to it the next time OH decides to do some cleaning, this is the second day that I have managed to get some power stored in the battery, though with the sun being low in the sky the charging time is getting less each day at present, and with the sun being low it creates bad driving conditions, though there are some drivers that it doesn't seem to effect, apart from them not seeing they are in a built-up area, now off to make a coffee, so have a pleasant evening, keep warw and safe and please pass on the smiles 🙂🙂🙂

Nicos if you send me some money I will get you some very good whisky, but you need to remember I will have to purchase several different brands and of course I will have a few glasses out of the bottles to verify that its a suitable whisky, but I will guarantee there will be level of at least one third of, no it will be a level of half a bottle, so looking forward to getting the confirmation from you😁🤑

MH it’s been raining here since lunchtime so not the forecast they gave earlier. I didn’t get into the garden instead I’ve made a few more cards.

My tree likes it in the cupboard so it will be staying there somehow I can’t see it ever coming out. I do decorate the mantle piece, mirror and wall lights so it looks a bit festive.

Ridiculous day so far and by no means over. But if I will forget a huge job till someone says it's the last day for billing so can you send us that now and the finished piece tomorrow, what more can I expect?

Very cold and still windy here. Rary, sounds like you've got more sunshine than us if you've managed to store some, and Nicos you've definitely got more than us if you've managed to sew some!

Sounds like it's all jolly chez the GFs.

Get those trees down from the attic, guys. If you're going to have something smaller, do it next year. Get some sentimental pleasure out of the ones you've got now and save yourself some effort by not bothering to put them back up in the attic at the end of the season this year.

hi all,late looking in today,had a bad night,but had to be out by 9 90,took some cake and sausage rolls and another came with some home made christmas bicies,it was the last of the choir meet till new year,i did wake up,came home and fell asleep in the chair,it was a nice end to the year,so simply chillin out again watching the films on chanel 5,i find it relaxing,GF good luck with your christalising,and no is not a mad idea at all ,where do you get the time lass,phew you wear me out just reading what you do, i have realy slowed down lately,

I've done lots of little jobs today, such as filling the car with petrol and buying stamps for cards. Eventually, I ended up in the big Sainsbury's. It was so, so busy. Unbelievable! Is it really Monday afternoon. No joy in shopping whatsoever. I just zapped round as fast as possible, and then, due to the length of the queues, I went through the self-checkout. It decided to be awkward, of course.

The good thing is I have now finished buying all my presents. I needed a bottle of gin and a probe thermometer for presents. I 've still one more Christmas cake to make for a present but that shouldn't be too hard.
