Snoring

I am officially grumpy today.

OH has got man-flu and has kept me awake now for 4 nights with his snoring. He normally doesn't snore so makes it harder when he does. I don't snore since having tonsils out so get narky when he does!
I only have to touch him to try and make him stop and he then accuses me of 'Kicking' him and gets all narky back! lol

So I need matchsticks today as the lack of sleep is getting to me....

any one got any remedies to stop snoring?

My current fave is to put him under the new path we are having laid.....

Do you use anything like olbas oil or a plug in smelly thing, we found this helped a bit. As my OH has sleep appnia ( ? ) he now has a CPAP machine, brilliant no more snoring unless he takes it off.

Mr Sheds snores on and off. It's horrendous.

I have to wear ear plugs - tis the only thing that gets me a night's sleep

(we've tried all those herbal remedies, wristbands, rings, pills, potions etc.)

Im with TS on this one, Ear plugs are a godsend. If that fails stick him on the sofa

I did think about putting earplugs in but then decided not to in case one of the chilren woke up and himself was too busy snoring to hear them!

Not got a spare room in this house - it's OH's ofice, but there is a sofa in there so he may be on there tonight. Trouble is don't think we have got any spare beding clean - so he'll have to wrap up warm!

Jez snores, a lot. And has the sleep apnea thing, but refuses to get it sorted out. SO I have to spend half the night booting him to start breathing again, and the other half booting him to stop snoring. Luckily/unluckily, he remembers none of it the next morning, even if he's had a proper conversation. And if he's had a few, he's more than capable of acting completely awake, going out, driving, going to the shop, falling over walls down 6 ft drops, walking over fields... and knows nothing about it later, coz he was actually still asleep.... One of these days he'll probably murder us all, the kids have been told to never try & wake him up, just in case....

Reminds me of my dad - he once sleep walked out of the bedroom window, hit the plastic slide in the driveway which broke his fall (he would prob have died otherwise), broke his back and crushed his foot. Spent 3 months in hospital.

To this day we are all convinced my mum PUSHED him but she denies it! She says she woke up and and his feet going out the window! They moved the blanket box that was under the window after that!

He also snored a lot but has had an op to sort it and only now snores if he's had one over the recommended daily allowance!

you want to try sleeping with my dog ...... it's not too bad when she's under the duvet at the bottom of the bed ...... it's when she crawls up and has her head on the pillow next to me that sounds like a pneumatic drill ........ and i also have a snoring cat ..... that's just weird, and when sons home you can hear him from downstairs over the telly some nights ...... shotgun????

Our cat snores, but sounds more like a growl. He also always keeps one eye open when he's asleep, freaky.

No, I know.
Seriously, OH went out into town one night with his mates, had a few pints, but nowhere near legless. Fell asleep in taxi on the way home, and supposedly woke up when they got to the pub in the next village to ours. Paid the taxi driver to fetch him home but then got him to stop 100 yds down the road, and got out. Took himself into the pub, someone bought him a pint, OH started to talk to bloke in what everyone said was Chinese?! Then he put the pint down where there was no table - didn't notice it falling straight on the floor and left the pub wi no coat on. Mates asked him where he was going & he mumbled summat bout going to bed, so they let him go. Bearing in mind this was 4 miles from home I'm pretty mad that they jus left him to it - the walk home is down a path next to a main road on one side and a 6ft drop into fields on the other! So anyway, an hour or more later, he turned up back at the pub wi no glasses, facial injuries, covered in sh*t and other hideous stuff. He had no idea where he'd been, what had happened - the last he knew they had just got in a taxi in town, he'd come to sat on the pavement next to the main road
This is not the first or only incident, but you haven't got time to read it all!

Yeah we struggle with snoring in our house as well. All came to a head last weekend actually when I finally lost the plot after 4 years of on off snoring from OH.

He spent the night on the sofa then when I got up he went to bed (as he hadn�t slept well) I sent him an email with this link that just said, 'sort it or risk death tomorrow night'.

Bless him he spent well over �100 on mouth guard, nasal strips, throat spray and ear plugs

i used to sleepwalk when i was a kid ...... i actually flew down the stairs ...... then sat and ate my way through the cupboards ..... pickled onions and gherkins were a favourite, blocks of cheese, peanut butter, and chocolate spread ........ all out of the jar ...... thankfully i never tried leaving the house ...... but mum put a lock on the cupboard door ....... till i got a screwdriver and dug a big hole in it to get the lock off
