    • I've just read what was in effect an advert for Sports Direct on the BBC website (they'll be attempting to stay open because after all they do sell all the equipment people need to exercise at home). What is the world coming to?

        • Hope he's based his advice on the experts...

"On exercise this means a walk, run or cycle once a day. Going to an allotment would be sensible but people should not be playing golf or any sport which requires interaction.
Police will be enforcing these rules. "

          • I just took 2 barrow loads of compost over (2x125ltr) and saw 2 other people over there. Too be honest never seen more than 4 so social distancing shouldn't be an issue.

Reason for taking it this morning, to empty the car as the dog needs to go to the vets, talk about it never rains but it pours!!
            Cheers

                • I've never had 12 weeks of free time before. The weather is lovely and at the moment I'm looking forward to the next few weeks. I've managed to get a grocery delivery slot for Saturday, order my meds from the chemist which my next door neighbour has offered to pick up for me (she works next door to the pharmacy) and I have paint, varnish, brushes, seeds etc. That's the upside. Downside, not seeing my family and friends except for facetime.

                  • I have just had notice to say my trout fishing waters are closed completely. Shortest season we have ever had. One days fishing on open day, two trout caught and that's it for the season.

I need to dig out my sea fishing stuff now, the trouble is the sea is 40 mile away from where I live.

                    • University have stopped the astro club meets, slightly unfair as they have kept their talks going.
                      Roads strange here.
No-one walking, no-one cycling, BUT I hear cars regularily on the road and took a looked out. Steady stream of cars all with 1 "isolated" person in them. All going slowly. Don't think that was the idea, or it is their way of getting around the real idea.

Makes you wonder what they do when they get to whereever.

Plans are Garden, more garden, clear crap in house, maybe paint bit of 2 rooms, rebuild a bike. Eat the freezer - have too much food in the freezer. Didn't stockpile just made over time more then I ate.

Any way better go post my question.

I keep reading Corona as "Coronation".............as in PM's Coronation Address - then I imagine him with a lopsided crown and moth-eaten robes.
