Forgot to mention...I went food shopping yesterday and as I was unloading the trolley into the boot of the car the heavens opened!
The choice was carry on unloading or jump into the car and leave everything outside to get sopping wet and risk the trolley rolling away, contentsn'all.
Yep...I chose the 'drowned rat' option

Morning, it has been pouring down all night here. How do I know, well I had a bad headache so went to bed really early with the result I’ve been up half the night!
Domestics for me today, the house hasn’t been properly cleaned for ages! I know, I know!!

By the process of elimination the Physio has found the exact bit of lumbar spine causing all the pain at last, and gave it a good 'seeing to' was sore after but slept through the night. YAY! If only I could do that a bit more often. She's going to give me some exercises for it after it settles down a bit. Here's hoping

That's just what happens when you're a gardener. The house benefits from rainy days just as much as the garden does Hahahaha! Dreaded ironing for me this morning.

Morning all. Caught a decent Brownie on my first cast yesterday so I was chuffed to bits Had to wait for another 2 hours for my second bite though!
Weather was not what was forecast and it was windy and overcast. Once I had packed up and left the water the sun came out.
Undecided as to what I will be doing today but it will deffo be summat outdoors.

Morning all. You tripping the light fantastic this morning, TS? Sounds like it was worth sticking with the physio.

Bright here. No wind at the moment but it was very chilly this morning when I got up. Have planted out the toms and peppers. Getting late, so if I don't do it now, we'll never get a harvest. Hope they survive the boiling hot days and perishing cold nights.

Busy day today. There seems to be no turning off the work tap. My week off is turning into just tomorrow. And even that's looking doubtful.

Made 3 moussakas and some keto bars for OH. (Otherwaise he'll finish his diet weeks before I will)
Glad to hear things are finally being sorted re your back TS.
Also Snadge!...well done you..do you eat any of your catches?

I'm off to market in a sec. Looks like it might finally end up being a gardening day today. At least the weeds pull up easily after all this rain

I am like a cat on a hot tin roof or a kid on Christmas Eve the evening before each fishing trip.

I used to feel like that the night before a trip to Ikea. The candle and garden sections always drew me in.

Hope the trip went well. (Edit: I see it did)

Rain rain and more rain here today! It's like a switch for my psyche, rain = . Getting really fed up with our lack of Summer now. Moving to Spain!!!

Bought 3 plants from Lids on Monday, they need to be planted today, so that and card making is me for the day.

I certainly do eat some of the trout I catch. I have just finished filleting the two I caught yesterday. We are allowed to take three fish per visit to the water but I probably only take 3 to 4 fish a month if I am lucky enough to catch them. They are good eating when they are frying pan size
. Because we fish with barbless hooks, very little harm is done to the fish I don't take for the table.

Afternoon, well after and evening/night of pouring rain it�s dry and the sun is peeking through the clouds.
Supermarket for me today, my favourite chore.
Good news on the back TS and we�ll done in the fishing Snadge.

Quick nip to the market resulted in 4 Black Crim tomato plants, mmmmm....a huuuge John Dory fish mmmmmm....and a crunchy loaf of artisan seeded bread made in a woodfire bread oven , mmmm(for our guests)
Yes I was a very good girl and didn't buy one for us.

I don't like crowds generally but the hustle and bustle of the French market place with the smells of cooked food, fresh melon samples being handed out and the massive selection of fruit, veg and fish stalls etc are just absolutely wonderful
We still see the occasional typical berets , generally worn by guys in their 70/80s...mostly hanging around the bars with their mates whilst their wives go and select the fresh produce
I won't say gossiping as I don't want to upset Rary again....but there is one hec of a lot of chinwagging going on between them

There's loads going on nearer the beaches today as it's the 75th commemoration of the D-Day landings.
Always makes me feel sad that human nature creates these situations.

On an upbeat note though, it's not raining so I'm off out into the garden in a sec

Morning all. Bright with a bit of hazy cloud in the sky. Goodness only knows what to expect, weatherwise. One forecaster says cloudy with a shower, another says cloudy, another says bright sunshine. High of 26 �C.

Anyway, I'm stuck indoors for the rest of the day. Hope you all have a good one, indoors or out.
