It's a sunny morning at 7degs but a wind chill of 1deg.
Bitterly cold and extremely breezy.
Having my grandson today and hoping to get out for a walk but must wait and see.

Good morning, started as a wet cold morning, but fortunately the rain stopped so went and collected the dog and took her a walk brought her down to our house and she has spent over an hour chasing after a 5in. hard plastic ball, I should have gave her that instead of taking her a walk she is now in the huff because I have hidden the ball from her, OH is away out with her former workmates so I can do what I want and have decided to do nothing enjoy your day, I am going to enjoy mine

Quite a productive morning. Actually got eight hours' sleep before it, so that might account for it.

Did some paid work, brought up water from the well and, while the barrels were filling, dug up some deep-rooted weeds. Will start work on the beds tomorrow.

Not sure about this afternoon. Have just had lunch and a nap wouldn't go amiss... Not sure what my clients would think of me sloping off like that though.

Beautiful sunny day here, hard to be anything but cheery when it is so lovely. Got a compost bargain this morning in Dobbies so celebrated by taking mutt to Macdonalds. (We have a bucket list for him and we made sure the chips were unsalted, lol).

Both mutt and I are having a good day.

Decided to go out to the garden instead of sitting about doing nothing, so have now finished my edging of the grass, I then started emptying some containers and while doing that I discovered some vine weevil grubs, as I have also emptied some tubs into my raised beds they may have started me vine weed so my next act will be to mix some bags of course sand through the beds ad vine weevil do not like course ground (they move through compost quite easily as it is smooth where as they don't like course soil, this is why you don't get them in tubs and baskets filled with soil) so hop it will work

Paid work on the cards again for me. Gardening as from tomorrow, I guess.

Just a couple of things to buy and then a final prep of the animals and house and plantpots.
Feeling very guilty about leaving sweet little Hibou again but at least the lass looking after her is bonkers about cats so she'll gets lots of cuddles and playing with and let out and in every day.
Rary....last year I found over 120 chafer grubs in one windowbox sized tub
The chooks were very happy bunnies

Morning all. precipitating wet stuff quite heavily out there so I've watered what needed watered in the greenhouses and come back indoors. I may head plotwards and get the indoor beds in my tunnel dug and mucked ready for the big onions and show leeks. Be a while before they get planted out but it's good to be able to decide at the drop of a hat later to get them moved because I've been proactive.

Good morning all.
Well we had our rain overnight and it was extremely heavy.
Sun is shining this morning g and its 10 degs.
Cut a huge bunch of narcissis yesterday evening as the rain was beating g them down and the house smells wonderful with the scent. Hated cutting them but they were being battered.
Looks like walking weather so off out shortly and then some gardening.
