            We're having corned beef crispbakes again with a big salad and courgette fritters. Maybe a few new potatoes too.

            I might make a mandarin trifle this afternoon too, with chocolate mini rolls in the base.

            • Last of the pork chops with another load of veg. Chops in an apple and onion gravy in the pressure cooker, veg roasted in the oven, just to be different.

                      • I was really struggling to think of anything I fancied today. I watched James Martin on TV but it didn't help. I had a meander around the Internet. Still no inspiration. I took some rubbish out to my bin and I could smell the aroma of bacon cooking in the air.

                        Decision made. Bacon, eggs and tomato with bread and butter.

                        More of the mandarin trifle for dessert.

                        While looking at recipes on the Internet I ended up on a website for Lebanese food and have decided to have YET another go at making some Moutabal (aubergine dip). I have never yet got it just right, and it "should" be easy. I have added aubergines, tahini and pitta bread to my online shop, more in hope than expectation.

                                The Punjabi, chilli and plain papadams were genuine though...
