  • Te he Snoop - I’m breaking mine for 10 days!
    Most of the food has been bought in advance and I’ve actually made a very flexible menu which can be played by ear.

    I’ve no idea for tonight though…I need to try and use up unfreezable left overs. I’m sure I can create something edible

    • OK, diet broken an evening early.

      Hot cross buns but no cross. Does leaving out the pastry count as a concession to the diet? No, thought not.

      Also bread rolls for the freezer. There's an enormous gap in it needs filling, honest.

                • I got prawns out of the freezer and gave Mr GF a choice of prawn risotto or prawn curry, fully expecting him to pick prawn risotto.

                  I was wrong, so it's prawn and potato curry with naan.

                        Same here because the bol is at the top of the freezer, as is the garlic bread. A small salad with it plus a good handful of parmesan and some wine.

                        I've just put the breadmaker on, on the timer, too as I 've just given the birds the old crust and I want breadcrumbs for tomorrow.

                        • Pizza and Tarta de Santiago yesterday.

                          Today: Spicy turkey burgers and salad, leftover tarta for pud.

                          Depending on how the day goes, I might make pastry cream. That way I'll definitely have to make the sponge flan...

                              • No pastry cream made yesterday so no sponge flan today. Probably just as well. There's a ton of Greek yogurt filing the fridge at the moment (slight exaggeration, but Mr Snoop did buy rather a lot). Should probably make inroads into that instead.

                                And the turkey burgers were still frozen, so it was salad, hummus and crackers instead. Turkey burgers for today. With Greek yogurt for pud.
