Pea pod wine

oh! I made orange and mango juice wine about 6months ago! I had a bottle when I made it, but it's waiting in the garage for me to drink.

Possibly for not that much longer, tho'.....

well we were clearing out the freezer earlier, and I found 2 tubs of tesco summer fruits, the ones we buy for making smoothies in the summer, and a tub o blackberries i froze in september, so we are going to get some tinned pears and use the lot see what happens lol.

after all a couple of tins of peaches costs what? £1, gotta be worth a go.

we also picked up some really nice pure blackcurrent cordial in tescos, for adding in after if the wine lack a bit of 'body' works really well.

just a note: if you don't have demijohns and all the bungs etc, the juice wine can be made easily without either, using the 5ltr water contaners, 95p from tescos etc.

I've now bottled the pea pod wine - might be a bit of an acquired taste, methinks.....

Anyhoo, it can sit in the garage for six months to mature. It can't be any worse than the celery wine!

I NEVER liked my vegetable wines Hazel - with the exception of potato and carrot. I must have over-educated my palate by drinking supermarket 3 for a tenner quality stuff!

Well, it was ok - sort of earthy, but ok.

Oddly, the second glass was always better than the first
