  • Good deal on nice jars

I use a various assortment of jars for our own use but I wanted some nice ones for my jams, chutneys etc to give as presents. I ordered these and they arrived the next day, really nice quality with lids and the price includes delivery. They do them in smaller quantities but I bought the big box and split them with a neighbour.

280ml Hex Glass Food Chutney Jam pickle Jar + caps * 84 on eBay, also Canisters Jars, Food Storage, Kitchen, Home Garden (end time 21-Aug-08 23:09:42 BST)

84 jars for £32 ? That's only 38p each, a bargain. By the time you've filled them with green tomato chutney, that's still only 50p per Xmas present!

Yup, 84 jars and lids, thought it was a bargain, especially as the carriage cost was included and they're really nice looking jars.

Going to label them up and use the little jute bags that I posted the link for in an earlier thread. Yes Two Sheds, they will make nice gifts, especially for the non jam/chutney makers. Now I just have to hope my tomatoes fatten up a little more.

            Oh typical.....I've missed the offer

Now I'm confused ( having never bought on e-bay) ...can I still buy even though it says the offer has gone, but pay the full price or something??

There's also loads of different types, shapes and sizes. I love eBay.

I'm going to have to put a stall outside my house at this rate, even with pressies, there's no way we can go through this much chutney, jams, relish, etc. It's time it stopped raining so I can do some gardening instead of cooking.

I found these folk when I was looking for labels, etc.

An earlier thread had links to the best sites to design and customise your own free labels. Here's a link to the thread

Thanks for the "heads up" on this seller, OH has just bought 72 8oz hex jars. Cheapest we had found before were working out at 57p each.
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.
