  • leaf eating insects

    which insects loves eating leaves... My herbs and vegetables leaves are eaten regularly.. i m not able to find the insect so far.. but its not caterpiller at least neither slugs nor snails...
    how to combat it ?

      i dont think so.. e.g. my basil plant is in large container inside conservatory... and the some leaves are eaten (partly) on it...i dont have slugs in conservatory and slugs cannot get to container i have..

        It never ceases to amaze me how they do it, but I'm with TS, it's slugs.

          have you picked up the pot and looked at the drainage holes? Pests often hide there during the day, and come out at night to feed

            the container has no drainage holes.. so far.. i just bought this two days back.. its a kind of plastic bucket which i m using for basil plant. its high enough for control watering. the container is place on a carpet.... There is nothing under it..

                do you leave the conservatory open during the day, could be a leaf cutter bee. Photo of damage would be useful.
