I never knew Sweetcorn could get Rust but some of mine have
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs! https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...lies/smile.gif

Just looked it up, and apparently plants in the Oxalis genus are the alternate host for the fungus, so if you've had sweetcorn rust you should be sure to eradicate all nearby Oxalis weeds, along with any infected leaves of other oxalis, in order to make sure it doesn't overwinter.

I haven't noticed any Oxalis but I do have Rust on my Pear tree, thankfully it doesn't affect the fruit. Just have to hope removing removing the affected leaves will stop it getting any worse on my corn, so far it is only on 3 plants. They were looking fantastic too

That's a different species of rust fungus, so there's not chance of cross-infection.
This one apparently only affects sweetcorn/maize and Oxalis species.
