    Yes- it's called St Glace here

    Saints de glace - Wikipédia

    There's also a 4th Saint (oop north)- St Urbain - giving a frost around the 25th May.

    Locals say the last frost here is the 15th ( last year it was the first week of June in our exposed garden!!!!!)

      Glad my greenhouse will be ready for plants today then. No wonder it was a bit frosty on my wedding day too! I hadn't heard of this before, thanks you two.

        Heard of it before. I really does co-incide with late frosts here!

          Yep,mid-May,that's their time.

            Yes I remember reading about the 'cold gardeners' - I like it. Everyone used to laugh at my Grandmother when she talked about them.... but every year without fail she seemed to be correct.
