We are even meant to be getting stupidly cold weather down here Tues and Wed with the chance of snow. Not really that unusual to get snow at Easter, just had enough of it now!

ETA Metcheck now forecasting HEAVY SNOW! That can't be right surely? Its Surrey for cripes sakes!

There's snow forecast here as well and being that little bit further south we usually miss it, but we shall wait and see. Even if it doesnt snow the temp. id forecast to below minus 5.

I just checked my gardening journal, and we can get hail & frost here on the East Coast until about 4th April.

I'm going up the lotty in a minute to tell my spuds to slow down with the growing

It's too early to put tomatoes outside anyway, regardless of frost. The nights need to get a lot warmer.

BBc weather forecast are rubbish in my area-they might consider themselves lucky if they manage to predict 10% of the weather

                            more snow

When I was a lad (while back), snow slid off Kelso old post office roof on Easter monday and felled yours truly. Patience is a virtue. Jim:

We had snow in April in 1977, got snowed in at my parents house the week before my wedding. . . in Devon!!! Of course that was followed immediately by a full on beautiful sunny spring (fingers crossed).

When I lived in the USA, it snowed very heavily in early May one year. I lived next to fields of sweetcorn and I remember they had a bumper harvest that year.

We had hail this morning, at the same time as the sun was shinning brightly and it was warm.
