I'm pretty much on the east coast here.
I left work near Dalkeith at 06:00 about ten miles away, and there was frost on the cars.
Here there is none at all and the thermometer on my shed read 8 degrees at 06:30.
Perhaps I will be relatively frost free from now on? I should have kept a note of when the last frost here was - for planning some early crops next year - but it was ages ago.

It got up to 15c here yesterday, but we always have that cool coastal breeze to make you feel chilly, so no tee-shirts yet.

We've had no rain for 14 days now, and the ground is like concrete, but quite moist a few inches down. I don't panic about watering ... I want the roots to grow down to find their own water.

I do need to water the new transplants though: lettuce, onions etc that have just gone in the ground and aren't yet established.
